As the Principal of SGEC, what checkpoints do you maintain daily and in the long run?

Firstly, we specify learning goals for students and teachers based on the curriculum then we monitor and report on teachers’ performance. Finally, we look after students' discipline and encourage faculties to do research and eventually plan innovative projects. 


What do you think, or how do you ensure the flow of education in your organization?

We begin with student induction. In advance we are implementing the curriculum prescribed by the university. Our next preference is planning other activities of the institute to sustain our visions and missions.


What are your roles and responsibilities to the college and the students?

My roles and responsibilities are to assess readiness to learn, set learning goals, engage in the learning activity process, and evaluate the learning.

What would you like people to know about your institution they may not know?

Most people are unaware of the location of our institute, which is in a clean and green environment. Our strength is placing the students in core companies. We train the students with practical knowledge and ensure their skills which are valuable assets to deserving companies.


What do you plan for the promotion of your institution?

We are promoting the college through prominent platforms like Collegedunia. We are advertising our institute on the radio channels, TV, etc. The institute, established in 2013 and it is up to the trend. Currently, digital media is a requirement for marketing and promotion.


How do you establish a healthy relationship and environment in your Institute?

I tend to maintain cordial relationships with HOD and staff. I act upon the grievances of staff and convey that to the management immediately. I listen to all the problems, analyze them, and endeavour to resolve them.


Due to the pandemic, what changes have you seen in the students aspiring for higher education?

The students, after the pandemic, have become accustomed to the blended learning system. It is challenging to communicate with the students and change their thought processes through online mode. In physical classes, it is easier to impart practical knowledge, so that we can focus on each and every student.


Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

Smart work with ethics should be the goal of the students. Student life is crucial as the proper guidance from the professors addresses their curiosity and it helps to keep sparkling the zeal to learn. They can achieve anything & everything if guided in the right direction. The sky is the limit.

What plans you’re currently (or will be) designing for SGEC?

As SGEC is in a semi-urban area, we have the chance to do some community service projects like solar plants, helping the farmers with current and trending technologies, and teaches how to use the internet. The intent is to make them tech-savvy. In future we are planning to move in a similar direction.


Being the Principal of SGEC, what is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

My philosophy is to implement the duties sincerely and ask others to do so. My leadership style is to follow what I preach. It’s a democratic style. I encourage people to share their opinions and serve the best for the college.
