You have held key positions at several institutes throughout your professional career. What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“Constant learning and having to upskill for the current trends”

Teaching and research are my passions. Since finishing my Phd, I’ve been associated with the education sector. As an educator, I don’t just teach students. I also have to keep upskilling and learning the current trends.


Being the Dean of Kallam Haranadhareddy Institute of Technology, what is your philosophy of leadership and describe your leadership style?

“My leadership style is leading by example and directing the students”

I would describe my leadership style as direct and leading by example. I enjoy delegating tasks and taking the lead on projects. But, I also like to stay involved and inspire my team by showing that I'm working hands-on to help them too. 


Being the Dean of campus, how do you strategize about the key programs and plans for the marketing and administration?

“Targeting, positioning, Promotional tactics, Monitoring, and evaluation are made on our marketing plans”

The existing and potential customers fall into particular groups or segments, and characterized by their needs’. Targeting, positioning, promotional tactics, Monitoring, evaluation and Marketing Plan are other administration of campus. 


The education systems in India and other foreign countries are structured very differently. In your experience, what can an inbound student gain from studying in your university?

“Guidance and counseling programs are provided to pupils on our campus”

Our curriculum system is not complex but effective in culture and cuisine. It provides the proper instructional equipment and meeting places that are often most conducive to learning. It includes the student-teacher relationship, guidance and counseling program,

What do you think your roles and responsibilities are to the University and students?

“To identify students' talents, provide them effective learning platforms and more are my main duties”

I take primary responsibility for learning, in particular to be self-motivated and self-directed in the management of students' learning. Make sure students are attentive and orderly in class. We consider pupils' behavior towards all other members of the teaching community. Students must contribute themselves for improvement, judge and act for a civilized society. They may stand for the strength of will, truthfulness, high sense of duty, honor, spirit of service and sacrifice. A student must know his talent and utilize it in the right manner.


What do you think should be the Institute's top priority over the next 10 years?

“To improve the learning quality and foster global level education is our top priority”

In 10 years time, we will have seen a switch from pretty vacuous higher education where something practical has been academicism just to to put every child in school. Second, to improve the quality of learning. Third, to foster global Citizenship. All these are our top priorities. 


When you first came to what was your vision for the Kallam Haranadhareddy Institute of Technology?

“To help students develop an understanding and appreciation for complex cultural and physical worlds”

Our university seeks to help students to develop an understanding and appreciation for the complex cultural and physical worlds. It helps them to live and realize their highest potential of intellectual, physical and human development.


What would you like people to know about your university they may not know?

“Dedicated to opening access to higher education globally”

People would like to know that my university is a non-profit, tuition-free, accredited, online university. We are dedicated to opening access to higher education globally. It helps graduates overcome financial, geographic, political, and personal constraints keeping them from university studies.


What do you see as Kallam Haranadhareddy Institute of Technology greatest strengths?

“Provides good teaching faculty, lab equipment, Library and good placements are given to students”

What are some of the biggest challenges you see, both for higher education in general and campus specifically?

“Budget deficits fall and transportation facilities for children are greatest challenges for us”

Underfunding has been an ongoing issue in education for years. Schools with budget deficits fall into disrepair and are left to decide what to keep or what to discard given the limited resources. All these issues are compounded by the fact that class sizes keep growing.These obstacles can include health issues, financial problems, mental health struggles, child care challenges, transportation difficulties and even disconnection from the college community.
