What do you see as your college’s greatest strengths and how it can be enhanced?

"Our vision and mission of establishing a good education system for students in Jharkhand"

The biggest source of strength for our college is definitely our mission and vision of providing good quality and employment oriented education to students, establishing a good education system, recruiting excellent trainers and developing the best learning environment in the Jharkhand region for students. And I firmly believe that we can enhance our strengths by believing in everyone's skills and working as a team to contribute our fullest.

What approaches do you bring in apart from curriculum to teach the students?

"We use a wide variety of techniques to teach students and enhance their skills"

Our Faculty members use different kinds of teaching-learning methodologies with different end goals in mind to deliver regular lectures and also to train students beyond books and curriculum. And we try to explore students' interests and strengths by interacting with them so that we can provide them with the best learning experiences. Also we follow the concept of explicit instruction to focus on frequent questioning of students and guide them to understand a topic.

How does the curriculum of your department ensure the best practices of industry?

"Industry experts are directly involved in its design and update process hence includes best practices"

We design the curriculum of our department by carefully analyzing one simple concept and that is how we can provide amazing employability skills and opportunities to students. And then we take inputs from our faculty members about the usefulness and effectiveness of the drafted study materials followed by suggestions from students on how engaging the existing content is and how we can make it more beneficial and how much effort is required to learn and understand any concepts. Apart from this, eminent Technician and Industry Representatives are involved to review and examine the curriculum and also to get requirements from industrial point of view.

When you joined this Institute, what was your vision for it and how are you trying to achieve the same?

"Educating students and making them technically proficient and ethically strong was my aim"

When I joined the Ramgarh Engineering College, my objective was to educate our students, enhance their skills and make them effective problem-solvers, life-long learners and ethically strong people so that they can contribute positively in the economic growth of our region and nation. And to achieve my goals, we are following the concept of summative and formative assessment.

What challenges are you facing to uplift the education quality of your department?

"Making students realize the actual importance of education is real struggle for us"

The biggest challenge in front of us is to make students recognize the difference between learning and accepting because they study and learn just for the sake of good grades and don't think much about how they can implement that knowledge to solve real world issues. Another hurdle for us is to bridge this gap and educate our students in the right direction.

How do you prepare your students to confidently deal with the outside competitive world?

"By organizing self-awareness programs and encouraging them to keep experimenting with their ideas"

For the purpose of making our students ready for the outside challenging and opportunistic world, we regularly organize self-awareness programs, provide work-integrated learning opportunities to them so that they can get real time experience and exposure of how things work on ground level. In addition to this, we encourage students to try new things by coming out of their comfort zones and also not to be afraid of making mistakes because they can only improve themselves if they keep experimenting.

Any valuable advice which you would like to share with the students for a prosperous career ahead?

"Never settle for less than what you actually deserve and keep upgrading their skills"

I would advise my dear students to never get trapped by the myth of being themselves. Keep enhancing your skills and make a better and stronger version of yourself. Also, don't stay in your comfort zone as this conception will destroy you and you won't be able to grow personally as well as professionally. Last but not the least, challenge yourself every single day and learning something new on a daily basis will give edge to your success journey.
