Both the PTU and GNDU are different in their terms and have their advantages and disadvantages. The GNDU is strict with the examination rules, whereas at PTU rules regarding examinations are quite relaxed in comparison. Choosing PTU or GNDU also depends on which course you are choosing. At last, everything depends on the college you want to opt for. If you are coming to Punjab from any of the places they don’t. The private colleges are not that good in the state. Therefore, don’t fall for the private colleges of Punjab. 

For any admission, apply for the university campus and not for the private colleges. Instead, take admission in your city or the native place.

I am not much aware of the procedure of NSIT Dwarka. But lateral entry in Civil Engineering is allowed at PTU. However, you will need to have a Polytechnic Diploma in Civil Engineering.

You cannot take lateral admission at NSIT because there is no civil engineering branch at NSIT. In addition to that, no government college that follows the JAC admission process allows lateral admission.
