Is leaving BITS, Goa CSE for IITB, CSE foolishness?
No, it’s definitely not foolishness, IIT B is among the top engineering colleges in the country. The IIT B is a cherished dream of many and for good reasons. The institute offers a great Computer Science program. The coding culture on campus is amazing. According to the recent placement highlights, IIT Bombay CSE average package stays in the range of INR 15-20 LPA.

The practical approach in the CS is often led by the students and all the theory-oriented work is led by the students in which for the coding culture, BITS Goa has its way and is better than IITB. The increasing GSoC selections and opens source projects prove this.
If you are interested in research and are theory-oriented, then IITB hands down is a better option. It has a great infrastructure and BITS Goa is still in the development phase in the infrastructure domain.
In the placements area, IIT B has better placements as it has a good reputation than BITS Goa but still, it needs to get good in the international domain.
The reservation system is not applicable in BITS Goa while a student has to face that in IITB. BITS Goa is all merit-based without any reservations.
