As per the reports of last year, NIT Trichy is deemed better than Jadavpur University. Thus, you must not leave any chance to get into NIT Trichy.

As per the NIRF 2020 ranking, NIT Trichy is ranked 9th for B.Tech.
NIT Trichy has a stupendous entrepreneurial culture, with a broad alumni network spread across India and overseas. The alumni network is over 30,000, including CEOs of top firms listed in Fortune India 500 and Forbes Global 2000.
Jadavpur University is ranked 17th for B.Tech by NIRF 2020.

Going by the recent rankings and alumni networks it is safe to say that NIT Trichy is ahead of Jadavpur. However, you should do your own research and make a decision based on that.
