To know which college is good for Electrical and Electronics Engineering, he/ she should look at some of the important aspects for a better future. Like about the faculties and teaching staff, the intake, how engaging are the teachers towards their students, placements offered, companies visiting, package offered, etc. Let’s discuss all these factors.

Rankings

  • PES University: Ranked at 93rd out of 300 in India 2020 for B.Tech courses and 5th in Bangalore for B.Tech courses.

  • BMSCE: Ranked 73rd out of 300 in India 2020 for B.Tech courses and 4th in Bangalore for B.Tech courses.

Intake criteria

PES University:

  • Passed Higher Secondary School with any of the subjects Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical with 45% marks.

  • The aspirant must have qualified JEE Main/ KCET.

  • 3.3 Lakhs is the total 1st fee for the first year.

  • 120 is the total intake of the college for EEE.

BMSCE:

  • Must have passed HSC with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics as the optional subjects.

  • Must have qualified KEA or COMED-K.

  • The total intake for EEE in the college is 40 seats.

Placements

PES University:

  • The college recorded a 100% placement rate in the recent placement drive.

  • Top recruiting companies who visited the campus are Deloitte, Amazon, JP Morgan, LinkedIn, Flipkart, Tech Mahindra, Mercedes Benz, Cleartrip, Intel, etc.

  • The highest package offered to the students was about INR 48 LPA.

  • Microsoft offered an average of INR 39.2 LPA to 11 students.

  • The median package offered to the students was about INR 6.8 LPA.

BMSCE:

  • Some top recruiting giants are Adobe, Amazon, IFOYSIS, Google, Microsoft, Infotech, Yahoo, Nokia, Titan, Intel, HP, etc.

  • The University was ranked #1 in the top 50 institutes for placements by Times Engineering Institute Survey in the year 2019.

Both colleges have well-qualified and highly educated professors. Many on-campus facilities are available in PES. The facilities and environment that suits the aspirants can be considered as the main priority and he/ she can choose the college that pleases them.
