How good is SCMS Noida's BBA programme? Is it comparable with SCMS Pune?
For BBA, SCMS Noida is the best college. But like B.Com, after BBA you won’t be eligible for a job.
SCMS Noida is not comparable with SCMS Pune as it is an old institution and has a different level of reputation. Along with that, the students of SCMS Pune have a better peer group than SCMS Noida which affects the environment of SCMS Pune. As there are good students in SCMS Pune, it develops a healthy competition on campus.
SCMS Noida does have a locational advantage as it gives you exposure to Delhi NCR industrial zone.
If you are considering BBA, you can also keep Christ University as an alternative.
My waitlist number for SCMS Pune is 69. What are the chances of getting final admission?
If your waiting list number lies within the first 100 then you have more chances to get into that. Most of the students that get into the first list have a waiting list number below 100.
I have a friend who is an alumnus of SCMS, Pune and she had many classmates who got admission through the 2nd and 3rd list. Most of them had a rank within 150.
Every year SCMS usually publishes a 2nd and 3rd list. Usually, the 2nd and 3rd waiting list comes out by 10 days or a week after the fee payment is done by the first waiting list candidates.
According to the current cutoff trends, you have a good rank and a valid chance to secure admission at SCMS.
How is the campus of Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies, Pune?
Symbiosis Centre of Management Studies, Pune has one of the best campuses in the country. Many movies like Bodyguard and Dangal have been shot here. You will love the vibe here during the monsoons.
- The campus is located in Viman Nagar and quite close to the airport. It houses many other schools like SCMS (BBA), SID (design), and SLS (Law). The campus also has its own ground, parking space, auditorium as well. You will also find a gym and health care center here.
- The campus overall is very well built and you will notice a lot of greenery throughout the premises. As far as SCMS is concerned, it has its own building allotted within the campus.
- If you are into books and require references for studies, there is a library situated in every institute. However, SCMS also has a digital library with which you will gain access to online books and journals too.
- There is something for everyone here. For example, if you are a music lover, you can explore the music room where you can play different instruments too.
- There are multiple other facilities like amphitheaters, reading rooms, audiovisual rooms, and computer labs. You are welcome to explore all of them.
- As far as the locality is concerned, Viman Nagar is one of the best localities in the city of Pune. The campus is always alive with the buzz of students and everyone is always involved in something or the other.
Overall, you will find whatever you are looking for at the SCMS campus and it is definitely one of the best campuses in the country. As a student, you will surely enjoy your stay here. My friends had some of their greatest memories on campus.
Is it tough to get into SCMS Pune?
It is not hard to get into SCMS Pune. I am listing down a few pointers that might help you secure a good SET score. A score above 115–120 would be quite sufficient and even can help you with the preparation for the interview.
- You can be asked to speak about yourself, your hometown, your education, and qualifications, etc.
- You can even be asked some questions based on your 12th curriculum, general knowledge such as ministers, presidents, etc.
- You can prepare a few Good essays for the WAT - Writing ability test.
To be honest, many of my friends have recently graduated from SCMS Pune. They say their interviews were pretty basic. The interviewer asked them about their hometown and the different establishments, factories, and industries operated there, such as the textile industry, diamond industry, etc.
Finally, I would like to advise you don't panic, be confident, speak on point and stick to the specifics.

According to my cousin and her friends at SCMS, they agree on the fact that it is one of the top universities to provide good academics. However, they are very strict when it comes to academics and discipline.

- If you are ambitious enough, SCMS is the appropriate spot to guide you.
