Some of my friends attended UIET Chandigarh and UIET Hoshirpur, so I have some information regarding the placement at these institutes. As both the colleges UIET Chandigarh and UIET Hoshiarpur are part of Punjab university, the students visit the Punjab University for placements. Companies do visits there. Sometimes students of UIET Hoshiarpur have to visit UIET Chandigarh for placements. The students of both colleges are given different slots. But both the colleges have their own placement cells. The placement depends on these placement cells. The companies like Infosys and Sufi visit both colleges. In such cases, the placements take place on the same date and at the same time. Hope this clears your doubts.

The choice between CSE and EEE is subjective and totally depends on you. Keep aside your confusion about these colleges and give a thought to what you want to pursue by outlining the major factors that drive your interest the most. You should rather explore the curriculum, campus, placements, packages offered, faculty, etc. of both the colleges in that particular field. Both UIET Hoshiarpur and UIET Chandigarh provide a degree from Punjab University. I guess the highlighted difference you would find are the cities in which they are located and the campus life. For CSE, Chandigarh University will be the better option. After taking admission to a university or college every student expects technical education and grooming that will help him/her secure a good job. GBU Noida is a pioneering institution among India’s engineering colleges that provides a decent placement of 80-85% every year. CCET Chandigarh is affiliated to Punjab University and ranks 68th as per NIRF ranking 2020 among India’s engineering colleges.  UIET Chandigarh is one of the top 50 engineering colleges providing above 85% placements every year.  UIET Hoshiyarpur is a premier institute imparting quality technical education. The institute provides an average placement of 70% every year.  Admission process:- GBU Noida:- BTech’s admission criteria are a minimum of 50% marks in 10+2 and a written test GPTU.  60 seats are available for the program.
