Is it worth doing MBA EPGP part-time from IIM Kozhikode/Indore considering I work in small scale IT firm and will be helpful to get a valuable job in market after the completion.My firm doesn't sponso
MBA EPGP is beneficial in case you are a working individual and want to pursue MBA alongside. In such a case, an EGPG MBA from IIM Kozhikode or Indore is not a bad option. But in other cases, other MBA options are better than EPGP. Other options include:

How good are the placements after the one-year MBA (EPGP) at IIM Bangalore?
The placements for EPGP at IIM Bangalore are excellent and even better than that of IIM Ahmedabad and ISB. Only the best companies visit and offer high packages.
The Institute has also released its placement report for the EPGP batch of 2022. According to it, 30 companies participated in the placement drive and recruited 71 students. The maximum number of students was recruited by Accenture and the average CTC of INR 30.90 LPA was offered and the median CTC stood at INR 30 LPA.

Some of the top recruiters included Accenture Strategy, Amazon, PwC, Manyavar, Microsoft. MindTree, Bain & Company. The highest number of placement offers were made by the Consulting industry followed by the IT industry.
I have 6 years of work experience in IT and wish to get into product management. Which is a better course to join - ISB's PGP or IIM Bangalore's EPGP
There are two scenarios for product management
- B2B: Business to Business product management does not necessarily require MBA
- B2C: Business-to-customer product management is better with an MBA degree. The placements for MBA will get you a high-paying job in B2C product management. B Schools like ISB prefer a work experience of at least 4-6 years. Roles offered through placements include senior product manager to product manager.
The fact is no matter what your skills are, this industry is biased towards MBA. So the final decision should depend on what you are going for.
What should I choose: MBA (EPGP) from IIM Bangalore or MBA (full-time) from Mannheim Business School, Germany? I have 8 years of experience in IT/Telecom and want to get into Product Management.
Rather than telling you what to choose, I will list down the pros and cons of both the B Schools and leave it to you to make the final decision.
Mannheim Business School, Germany
Pros
- Being one of the most reputed B Schools in Germany, you will get a high-paying job right after completing your course.
- Mannheim itself is an experience as people from all over the world come here and you get to attend some amazing events too.
Cons
- This B School charges a whopping fee of around 32000-35000 euros. And the fees do not include living expenses (9000 euros)
- You will have to learn German especially if you want to get into product management to deal with clients. That is an additional expense.
IIM Bangalore
Pros
- Fees are comparatively less than that of Mannheim Business School.
- Faculty is supportive and extremely experienced.
- Living expenses are included in the fees themselves.
- The placements are top notch and with an above-average grade, you can easily get placed at a reputed firm with a high package.
Cons
- Being located in the heart of the city the only disadvantage that IIM Bangalore students face is the heavy traffic.
Weighing both the pros and cons you can now make a decision easily. In my opinion, go for the German B School if you have plans for permanently settling abroad. But if you want to eventually stay in your home country then IIM Bangalore is the best option for you.
Should I join IIM Lucknow for a PGP now offer in hand or wait and go for a one-year MBA program? My work experience is 45 months with decent academics.
If IIM Lucknow doesn't hire you for positions that are relevant to your experience in a 2-year program, it will be harder for you to land the desired positions (though there are exceptions).
The one-year MBA is designed for students with more than five years of experience and offers many benefits, including a balanced and diverse cohort from which you can learn from their past failures and successes. The placement scene for a 5-year-old male would be highly subjective (depending on your past experience, past brand name, etc.) People with less than six years of experience have been offered AVP positions in reputable MNCs. Therefore, it is dependent upon what you bring to the table.
Furthermore, because the 2-year course is 34/35 years old, industry acceptance is much higher than for the 1-year course, which is now in its 13th year.
Before making a decision, weigh your options and speak with as many alumni as possible.
