Review NIT Delhi 2022

Remarks :

I am Vivek Patidar, currently undergoing BTech in CSE from the national institute of technology Delhi. I am another state student. I am here to share my college review. I have completed my first semester online and the latter 2 semesters offline. Thus hereby I see myself in a good position to give an honest review of my college. It may happen that your perspectives of the college do not match my review because it changes from person to person.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Honestly speaking, I chose NIT Delhi because It was under the range of expected college that I could get at my rank. Other colleges that I got in previous rounds include(Cse from Nit Bhopal, Jalandhar, Jamshedpur, and Patna) My JEE advance rank was not at all good so I Could only get the last few remaining branches of new IITs. Decided on Delhi because it has one of the best IT hubs in the vicinity of Gurgaon and Noida. Other reasons include the new infrastructure of college and hostels. I don't know Faculty-student ratio but teach faculties are interactive and there is a good student-teacher relationship with a lot of the teachers Faculties are highly qualified. Some teachers cannot teach properly. They know the subject but they cannot make you understand the subject. It's a normal thing in all colleges. The college schedule is rapid in the first two semesters but gradually the load decreases with a good amount of gaps between semesters and within it as well. It is not difficult for students to pass exams.

Internships Opportunities :

Amazon - 1.1 lakhs/month Goldmann Sachs -1lakh/month Swiggy -15 k /month Siemens EDA -40 k /month Mathworks -55k /month American express- 85k /month Intel -45 k/ month

Placement Experience :

For college summer internships 2 nd year students onwards can apply And for placements 3 rd year onward you can apply. A sufficient amount of Companies like adobe, Qualcomm, swiggy, zomato, oracle, Samsung R&D, cognizant, intel, delhivery, Goldman Sachs, phonepe are top recruiters. The highest package offered this year is 55 LPA and the Overall average CTC is around 17 LPA. Near to 100 per cent placements. ( Check on the official site of T&P cell nit Delhi.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

As of now, there is no fee hike at NIT Delhi. There are several scholarships that you can apply to other than the tuition fee recession given by NIT to sc, st, PWD and those below 1 lakhs income. students can talk for financial assistance and scholarship at the admin block directly under the scholarship cell. Students can apply for on-campus internships from various well-known companies after the second year usually. Stipends offered are from Rs 30,000 to 1,00,000.

Campus Life :

Annual cultural fest sentience technical fest terra Technica. All kinds of Course-related Books are easily available from the library. The library is well maintained and digitalised entries are done. All kinds of ebooks are available. Various magazines and journals are continuously added to the collection on per requirement basis. Classrooms and lecture theatres are recently constructed and fully furnished and projectors and podiums work fine as well as green boards are available. along with elevated seats in LT. Sports clubs and sections are highly active and various tournaments and events are organised on a big scale with large participation. There are WhatsApp groups for freshers' interaction For curriculum purposes, our students have designed an android app (Notezoid)for sharing notes from past year's papers and course books.

Hostel Facilities :

For 1 st year boys hostel facility is in the nilerd(old campus), college bus is available for them to travel to college. Second year onwards boys and all girls are allocated new hostels namely dhauladhar and Yamuna which are on the new campus itself. Nilerd campus has 2 and 3-seater rooms while new campus hostels have 4-seater rooms. All rooms are spacious and fully furnished which includes quality assured tables chairs and beds. Hostels are available in both AC and Non AC. Old campus hostels have common washrooms but they are sufficient in numbers. New campus hostels have separate washrooms area and balconies for each room. Mess quality is good, but a similar menu is repeated every week which is quite boring. The registration process for hostels is online through google forms provided by the college and payment is done through UPI through the link provided to the given contact number. Hostels and mess total is quite expensive. Hostels 28k Per semester(AC) And 18k per semester (non AC) Mess 3500/month

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum and faculty members are very nice. as my college is built recently so everything is new and modern. we have a smart board with folding chairs. there were 480 intakes in 2022 from which 120 students are in my course. The girl ratio is really low. we have very qualified teachers, some of them are from USA big multinational companies. The course is really hard, and exams are very timely.

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester, students become eligible for placements. Many companies in various domains like HFT, Finance, Consulting, core, analyst, management, and product management come to campus and offer a satisfactory amount of seats to students. In recent placements, the highest offer was made to a student of 4 crores pa by Jane street. Around 70-80% of students get placed.

Placement Experience:

Students generally sit for placement at the end of the third year and try for an internship at the end of the second year. Around 70 percent of students get placed in campus placement whereas only 50 percent of students get internship opportunities here at IIT Delhi. My plan is to either pursue MBA from IIMs or get into an MNCs after completing my degree.
