Remarks :
To enter into any NITs, You have to give JEE mains examination conducted by NTA. You can fill out the application form on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The examination will be held twice a year(generally) in the month of January and April. In the year 2023, the form fee for boys(GEN/EWS/OBC) is 1000 and for SC/ST/Females is 500. Yes, there are category reservation benefits for (OBC/SC/ST/EWS) and there is also a female quota, i.e. 20% of the seats are reserved for female candidates.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose electronics and communication engineering because I am interested in that field, and I will do masters in also this field. Faculty at NITD is good enough, around 40% of the faculty is contractual, rest are permanent. Some teachers are strict and they want more focused study from students. Almost faculties are PhD Holder and have a great experience. About examination there is two examination in one semester. One is the mid-semester and end-semester examinations. You can pass the if you atleast studied the class work. The pass percentage is 33%.
Internships Opportunities :
The internship opportunities in this college are quite good as many companies come for the internship. Some of the companies are Atlassian, Swiggy, Samsung, etc About the project, You have to make a mini project in the semester from the 2nd to the 7th semester and in the last semester, you have to make the major project. The project you made in each semester will enhance your Resume.
Placement Experience :
One of the best things about NIT Delhi is its placement. The average placement is 17 LPA with a median of 15 LPA. The average packages branch-wise are as follows CSE - 21 LPA ECE - 18 LPA EE - 12 LPA. Most of the tech giants visit our college, and core electronics/electrical companies also visit but they hardly recruit from UG students. The Top recruiters are Microsoft, Intel, Qualcomm Swiggy Atlassian Samsung
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The college fee structure is different for everyone according to their income category. The income categories are less than 1 lakh, 1-5 lakhs and above 5 lakhs. Scholarships are provided by different banks and other agencies also provide scholarships. Also, government scholarships are provided and that information is shared by the college's official. Also, private scholarships can be availed by needy students.
Campus Life :
There are two fests in one year one is technical and the other is cultural. In the month of April one is conducted and the other is in the month of November. The availability of books is good enough in the college, You can issue them from the college library. The classrooms are well built for the comfort of students. There is only one ground in this college and all the outdoor sports are played on this single ground. There are facilities for many games like volleyball, badminton, cricket, football, table tennis, pool, kabaddi, etc. There are many societies like technical, startup, social and cultural, sports, etc.
Hostel Facilities :
There are two hostel hostels for the boys. For first-year boys, the hostel name is NILERD campus which is the old campus of NIT Delhi and it around 5 Km from the New permanent campus. And for 2nd, 3rd and 4th-year student hostels are available on the permanent campus. The food quality is average, definitely, you will miss your home food. The hostel fee is 18000 for Non AC rooms and 28000 for AC rooms. Yes, there is Pg available near the college, you can also rent pg.
