Remarks :
Admission is strictly based on the marks in JEE Main examination. You have to go through JAC Chandigarh counselling process to get admission to this college. This comes under Panjab University, Chandigarh. The preferred branch for students is CSE. Mostly CSE cutoff goes up to 30k-35k Rank in JEE for general students.
Course Curriculum Overview :
In the given semester there will be two minor exams and 1 Major exam. There consists of an internal assessment also which includes Viva, Quizzes and assignments. Minor exam marks are given on best of two, it comprises 30 Marks. Major comprises 50 marks and internal assessment includes 20 marks. These all combined to make 100.
Internships Opportunities :
Internship opportunities are provided by companies in many domains like consultant roles, Business Analyst roles, product managers, and SDE. Most of the time students will be able to convert their Internship into PPO. One can do the project under DIC(Design Innovation Centre), telelabs.
Placement Experience :
A lot of companies visit this campus. Core and IT company both used to visit here. In core branches like EEE, Mech around 50-60% of students get placed. 20-30% get placement in core companies, Amazon, American Express, Samsung, Deloitte, ZS etc these are the major companies which visit the college. From 6th sem students are eligible for sitting in placement. The highest package is 30 Lakh offered by Amazon (on campus) and 42 lahks by Microsoft (off campus) around 80-90% of students get placement.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure is nominal as compared to other govt colleges. The total fee for the whole year is about 1 Lakh. One can submit a fee in instalments. There are a lot of scholarships provided based on your merit, your family income etc
Campus Life :
There are a lot of clubs and social groups. There is the BPC(Brand Promotion Committee) which works for the betterment of the campus and organizes fests in the college. IEEE, Sports Club, Dramatic Club, Toolbox(specifically for Mech Students), STAR(student team of alumni relations)
