2 MONTHS AT LSR

Remarks :

For the first time admission process of under graduates to central and state universities in India was conducted through Common University Entrance Test in 2022. Thus, there won't be any cut off by the colleges under different universities anymore. All the *exam related information* such as notices stating details of the the participating universities, and the duration, mode, fees of examination and the issue of admit cards or any amendments, isprovided to the students on the webiste cuet.samarth.ac.in. The site is resticted to conduct the examination only. Students may aspire to take the admission test for different universities. One is needed to look for detailed information on the respective universities website itself in which they want to take the admission. There they may look for factors like- syllabus for a course, eligibility, seat matrix. It is advised to fill the maximum number of universities and course-college combinations.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Faculty in LSR is helpful and approachive. Section size is approximately 70 students. Due to the disturbance created by the pandemic, UG batch of 2022 would be having their exams in last week of February. Duration for first year is quite short, and there's so much to study. At the same time, students have to deal with the internals and assignments.

Internships Opportunities :

Industry giants like McKinsey & Co., Boston Consulting Group, Bain and Company, Kepler Cannon, Accenture, Dalberg, Trinity, Deloitte, EY, KPMG offers positions in a diverse range of fields such as consulting, finance, marketing and sales, media and research as well as auditing. Educational organizations such as Teach for India also visits LSR to offer fellowship programs. Apart from hosting companies such as Bank of America, LEK, RedSeer, DE Shaw, HUL for thier internship programs and opening up avenues for socially gearing initiatives with organizations like Shashi Dream Foundation, CRRSS, CovEd India, the placement cell continues its partnership with ZS Associates and Deloitte GSM for their extremely prestigious all india case competition.

Placement Experience :

Since NEP-2020 policy is applicable to us, I would go through the Research which will be offered to us in the fourth year after completing graduation. Placement cell is active in the college as it provides various internships and placements of different sectors to the students studying in any year. Virtual, part time or full time internships and jobs are there. Full time is generally do-able in the months of May and June(in semester break). Mainly jobs are from private or corporate sector. One should take care of the attendance criteria also before applying to the internship in which they are wishing to join. University or college won't entertain any such thing. Internship policy covering every aspect is provided by the college. Students in humanities courses have relatively more chances of getting job opportunities in comparison to commerce and science stream.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees is appropriately decided by the university considering various factors of the colleges. Several scholarship schemes and financial assistance are provided by the university for minor and reserved category students. There is fees concession available to the students considering family's income and performance of the student in the previous year.

Campus Life :

Many fests like Tarang, Eco fest are organised in the LSR college mainly in the months of February, March and April. There are unions formed by students for assistance of all kind. Classrooms and labs are well equipped with projector facility, AC and fans. NSS, NSO and NCC conducts different programmes and visits for their service. Books and readings of all subjects are available to the students to study and prepare for competitive exams. Various societies, cells and clubs are there to energize students. Student is required to undergo through their respective selction process.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I was from PCM (science) background in 12th board and I literally wanted to shift in the course of the art. And science students always look for what best subject in art which is ECONOMICS and we choose this. And the second reason is Economics is something challenging and It provides you to think bigger and know about the money and market. So these are the reason I selected this course. My class has 40 students and except for the Micro teacher, No one teaches very well. We are the first batch of CUET and we just got approx. 3 months to prepare for the semester with an increase in the subject. So that is always hard when you are getting experimented with new things.

Placement Experience:

Students from 2nd year or 5th semester are eligible for pre-placement offers. However, 1st-year students are eligible for internship opportunities only. Around 40 companies visited campus with their placement offers for Bcom. Hons, Bcom, B.A Hons Economics, & some BSc courses. Companies included some Big4 companies like KPMG, Deloitte, E&Y, Wipro, HCL & many more. My plan after getting the degree is to go for MBA or MA in Economics.

Students become eligible from the 6th sem to sit for placements. Companies offering 6 lac to 37 lac visit the campus every year. I was placed in a multinational company with a very good package. People from stats maths and eco courses have higher chances of placement though.

Placement Experience:

From the first year onwards we are eligible for internship opportunities by internship cell. During our 6th sem, we are eligible for job interviews. The placement cell is working hard to review their work in a well-mannered form but still, they lag in bringing big companies to college for on-campus placement drives. Companies like byjus, Genpact, etc. came for placements and they offer full-time jobs for 4-6 lacs package varying from the post they offer. The highest package could go up to 7-8 lacs and on average it's 2 lacs. They offered a various range of profiles to get into. The percentage should be more than 65% at least to get the final placement done smoothly. Plans for graduation are going for higher students in this subject only who want to have a PhD degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

All faculty members were helpful throughout the course and encouraged me to excel in other domains as well. But some teachers just didn't care about the students and were attending classes just for the sake of it. My college was a girl college and there were some male and more female faculty members. Exams were conducted according to the academic calendar released by the college before the start of the semester.
