Maitreyi College is an all women’s college which is one of the affiliated colleges of the University of Delhi. The college offers 3 year undergraduate programs in the areas of Arts, Commerce and Science in various specialisations with a highly qualified and experienced faculty team. Some of the faculty members are trained in new Pedagogical Strategies involving innovative blended learning in the U.K.

Maitreyi College has achieved 36th position in India, according to the surveys conducted by the NIRF in the year 2023. The college has been well recognised as a star college by Department of Biotechnology (DBT) with conferring the star status to all four of its Science departments namely Botany, Zoology, Chemistry and Mathematics. Maitreyi College Admission Process

 Maitreyi College admission process is completely online. Candidates seeking admission are required to apply online on the official website. Admission to UG courses is done on the basis of CUET scores followed by e-counseling. Candidates need to pass their 10th and 12th class with 40 percent marks in total to be eligible for UG courses provided. The program-specific eligibilities vary from course to course.
The marks obtained by the candidate in CUET will be considered for computing the total marks according to the Program-Specific combinations of subjects for deciding merit and granting admissions in the undergraduate programs.

PG admissions are done through Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET). There total 75 programs for PG courses which is been provided by Delhi University. As per the DU admission policy, 50% of seats will be reserved for DU students, while admission to the 50% seats will be provided through DUET. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply for PG courses through the DUET entrance exam.

Maitreyi College Application Process

Candidates who wish to enroll for the UG courses are required to apply for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) whereas candidates who wish to apply for the PG course are required to apply for the Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET). 

CUET application process

Candidates applying for UG courses in Maitreyi  College can follow the following steps in order to register for the CUET: 

  • Candidates must visit the official CUET website that is: @cuet.samarth.ac.in. 
  • Upon opening the website candidates will find the ‘Register’ tab, they must click on it. 
  • After reading and understanding the information provided, candidates must hit the ‘Proceed’ button. 
  • After this, candidates will be directed to the application form. Candidates must fill in the required details carefully. 
  • After filling the necessary details candidates will have to upload important documents such as signature, photograph, marksheet, etc. Candidates must upload all the required documents. 
  • Candidates need to pay the application fee at the time of submitting the form or else the Online Application Form will not be considered.
  • After submitting the fee, candidates print out the form and save a hard copy for future references.

  • In the month of October every year, Delhi University holds a competitive examination for the award of All India Scholarship amounting INR 250 per month tenable for 3 years only to the students of B.A.(H) and B.Sc.(H).

  • Library: The Maitreyi college has a wealthy library which consists of a rich stock of 99,307 volumes of books and a seating capacity of 150 readers at a time. The library is fully computerised using a software SOUL. The library has a subscription of 55 print journals, periodicals, national and international magazines. 
  • Enabling Unit: This unit was established for differently abled students and faculty of the college. This unit consists of numerous computers and notebooks with necessary softwares like NVDA, Hindi OCR, Lax Camera etc. that enables visually impaired users to carry out academic tasks independently. 
  • The other main facilities of the college include a photocopy shop, canteen and bookshop for providing all these things at subsidized rates to the students. Besides, the entire campus is wifi enabled along with CCTV cameras and RO purifier system.
