Institute of Home Economics (IHE) is a public and constituent college for girls only affiliated with the University of Delhi. The building is spread in the area of 3.5 acres which consists of manicured lawns, spacious lecture theatres and laboratories. The institute offers various UG, PG, PhD and diploma courses to the 1,000 native and foreign students of Asia and Africa.

Institute of Home Economics (IHE) Admission Process
Institute of Home Economics (IHE) admission process is completely online. Candidates seeking admission are required to apply online on the official website. Admission to UG courses is done on the basis of CUET scores followed by e-counseling. Candidates need to pass their 10th and 12th class with 40 percent marks in total to be eligible for UG courses provided. The program-specific eligibilities vary from course to course.
The marks obtained by the candidate in CUET will be considered for computing the total marks according to the Program-Specific combinations of subjects for deciding merit and granting admissions in the undergraduate programs.
PG admission is done through Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET). As per the DU admission policy, 50% of seats will be reserved for DU students, while admission to the 50% seats will be provided through DUET. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply for MA through the DUET entrance exam.

Candidates who wish to enroll for the UG courses are required to apply for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) whereas candidates who wish to apply for the PG course are required to apply for the Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET).

The Library subscribes to 40 National and International Journals. The Library also has a Book Bank with 615 volumes.
- Computer Lab: The Institute has three computer labs equipped with 120 computers loaded with the latest software and internet connectivity for use by students, research scholars, and faculty. Many classes of under-graduates and postgraduate students that require the use of computers are held in the computer lab.
