Remarks :

To get into NIT Rourkela one has to appear for jee main examination. Jee main exam generally happens twice A year. One around Feb, another around May-June. One has to visit Jee main website to get info about this exam and related fees. According to Percentile, the rank will be awarded. Based on rank, counselling will be done by JOSSA where candidates can fill up College preference. There is some reservation policy also for home state students and different category students.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose this course based on my rank. All professors are Friendly And very knowledgeable People. Teaching methods are practically based. Everyone is an expert in their field. There are 2 exams in a 6-month semester, mid-semester And end semester.

Class Size : 80Course Fees : INR 62500 per year

Placement Experience :

The placement scenario is very good. Many top mnc is coming like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon. About 90% of students got placed last year. The highest package was 48 lakh And min package was around 3 lacs .my plan is to get placed at the top MNCs.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fe me structure is flexible. Those having income crater than 5 Lakh per year will give 99k rupees And those who have greater than 1 lakh And below 5 lacs give 2/ of the tuition fee. Where as for below 1 lakh people, the tuition fee is totally free. Along with this, our College signed for various govt scholarship forms which we can apply for online And avail it.

Campus Life :

Innovisison And cosmopolitan are the two main annual fests on our campus. Along with that various tech clubs, dance clubs, and research clubs are also there. There is a large Central library .classrooms are equipped with all required teaching materials and comforts.

Hostel Facilities :

On our campus, the hostels are very big .hostel a is given with all sorts of facilities starting from electricity (light, fan, washing machine) to bed And 24×7 LAN connection. Quality food is given in mess.No issue on staying in a hostel

Life of a student at NIT Rourkela

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to sit in campus placements from the 7th semester. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, google, Qualcomm, Intel, wells Fargo, American express, texas instruments, Oracle, Samsung, Barclays, bajaj auto, tata steel, and many others visit the campus. So far the highest package offered is around 51 lakh rupees per year and the average package is around 12 lakhs per year. More than 90% of computer science students are being placed in the past few years. I personally want to have an industry experience for 1 or 2 years after my degree and then I want to pursue my MBA.

Placement Experience:

As NIT ROURKELA is one of the best technical institutes in India and 3rd best in NITs many top companies visit here for placements and internships. In 3rd year we have internship opportunities from many companies with good stipends. These are summer internships which will be for 2 months. The selection process is similar to the placements. If we perform well enough in the internship PPO will be offered. In the 4rth year placement season starts. In the last placement season over 900+ offers were given. The average CTC for CSE is 16 LPA, and for others, it is 12 LPA. In CSE Placement percentage is 100%. After my degree, I don't have any plans for higher studies. So I will go with my placement.

Everything About Nit Rourkela In A Brief

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from the start of the 7th semester. Anyone having zero backlogs is eligible to sit for placements. Around 200-250 companies from different sectors like IT, analytics, finance, and electronics visit every year. Around 900 students were placed last year from 1100 students with a record of 100% placement in the Mining And Metallurgy Department. The highest package offered was 55 lakhs from Microsoft and the average package was 11 lakhs. If in case you didn't get placements you can still try for off-campus placements in various companies. I am already selected for an internship at Qualcomm and will target PPO next year.

I am doing my bachelor's degree at this college. From school life, I loved computers and technology. So that I joined here for my brightest future. And here there are many branches and students. And the faculties are highly educated & the sem exams are computer so I improved my skill a lot in computers, and some of my teachers are too informational like you, sir/ma'am. so thank you for your good teaching which is very useful not only in the classroom but also outside helpful. And because of the much learn from campus, I want to be a faculty myself after completing my education as it is not just part-time work it's full-time work and also a lifelong goal to fulfil both teachings and learning about information technology topics.
