Remarks :

I qualified JEE main entrance exam. Eligibility is you should have completed your 12th class or you are appearing 12th class. Application form fees are 750 for general/OBC and 350 for Sc/St candidates. In fees, you get reservation benefits. No tuition fees for Sc/St students. Overall very smooth admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose production engineering here because the placement is very good. You don't get this much placement in any other NIT in the production branch. Faculty: student ratio is average. But the teachers here are very knowledgeable and supportive. Professors are highly qualified here. We have semester exams mid-semester and end-semester which is not that tough but we have to maintain good cgpa for good placement.

Internships Opportunities :

The internship opportunity is good. Many get pre-placement offers. With 40000-50000 monthly salary. Many don't accept internship offers because of low salaries. Some IT companies and TATA gives internship opportunity.

Placement Experience :

In terms of placement, NIT Jamshedpur stands in the top 5 NITs. Overall 97% of students get placed. With 100% placement in ECE and CSE branches. Core branches like mechanical and electrical also have 98.9% and 95% placement respectively. Companies like Amazon, Infosys, Wipro, and Vedanta come. The highest package is 72.5 LPA offered to ECE students. The average package is 14.72LPA. I will go into the IT sector after getting the degree.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure here is like other NITs and IITs per semester 116000 and for category students 100% tuition fee waiver. The cost to study is not that high compared to private colleges and also education loan is available. 100% tuition fees are given to those whose parents' income is less than 100000 rupees. Students can also avail of benefits from the Ekalyan scholarship program.

Campus Life :

Campus life is ok here. Infrastructure could have been better compared to other NITs. The annual fest is Culfest, technical fest's name is Ojass these fests are conducted very grand. Books are available in the library anyone can issue a book. Classrooms are equipped with modern facilities like smart board, Ac, sound proof room, etc. Sports opportunity is available, like volleyball, football, Lawn Tennis, cricket, basketball, hockey, etc. Clubs are also present like room for singing, beat breakers for dance, etc., and technical clubs are also available.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel life is quite good and memorable. The hostel room provides LAN, a fan, a table, a chair, a bed, and an almirah. Mess food is ok, food is hygienic which matters the most. The registration process for a hostel is very simple and is done online and the mess fee is 18000 per semester.

Placement Experience:

Placements of our college is very good with 90+ percent. From the 7th semester, the students are eligible for campus placement. Mostly companies offer SDE, Analyst, consultancy profiles for students and highest package is from 45 to 50 lpa and average is 12 lpa. I don't have any plans just to get placed in a company.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was interested in studying b.tech in computer science and engineering and learning about computer machines and their software so I opted for studying at chaibasa engineering college. In chaibasa engineering college the faculty-to-student ratio is very nice as here it's 1 teacher with over 40 students and the teacher can clarify every student's doubts and can also interact with everyone. Here the teacher is also highly qualified with having P.hd in a particular field and many have done masters from IITs. The teaching style of the teachers is fabulous and explains very complex topics very easily and tries to reach every student's doubts. during our first semester curriculum, the college took two main internal assessment exams which were what we were taught in the class and the difficulty level was moderate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this course because here placements are very good. The faculties are very good and well-knowledgeable, and the student ratio is 1:4 for girls:boys. Faculties are well qualified from IITs and the teaching methods are also very nice. The term exam is taken after every four to five months and exams are easy.
