Can a student at the IIM Raipur get a placement in Raipur or a nearby city?

Let me be honest, your chances of getting an offer from Raipur itself are very less. My stance can be proved through the following reasons Raipur is not a very big city and does not have many top firms that will visit the IIM campus. In case a company does visit, you have to get shortlisted and give the interview on the same day. Without proper preparation, you might even flunk it. Even with the low chances a company does visit the campus, the chances of your second-year specialization matching with the specialization that particular company is looking for are rare. It was extremely difficult to get into an IIM after facing tough competition. In such a case you shouldn’t limit your chances to a single location only. Broaden your options and trust me once out of IIM you will be brave enough to survive anywhere.

Why are IIM Ranchi and Raipur underrated compared to IIM Udaipur even after better placement records?

I think the single most important reason why IIM Raipur and Ranchi are considered below IIM Udaipur is the lack of proper marketing. IIM Udaipur has managed to make its mark through enough marketing and promoting research culture. The IIMRs is also flawed in the sense that they are located in extremely poor economic states. This flaw overshadows all their features and the fact that they have better placement scenarios than IIM Udaipur. Every IIM has set a certain goal and is gradually climbing the ladder to reach its level of excellence. The same is the case with IIMRs. In just a few years these two will be among the best IIMs in India.

Which is the best college in terms of placement in OPS/consulting/general management among IIM Raipur, Rohtak and Udaipur?

I am aware of the placement scenario at IIM Udaipur only as my sister recently graduated from it. Operations The faculty base of this domain specifically is very experienced and includes world class professors like Director Prof. Janat Shah. Placement Experience:

The placement process is highly competitive and rigorous, as the institutes are known for producing some of the most highly sought-after management graduates in India and around the world. The placement process usually begins in the second half of the final year. In recent years, the placement process at IIMs has seen an increasing number of top companies participate, with many companies offering top-notch packages to students. The average salary offered to students during the placement process has been increasing steadily over the years, and many students are able to secure high-paying jobs with leading companies. 100+ companies visit, 100% of the students get hired, the highest package provided was 42.15 lacs, and the average was 17.73 lacs. And I intend to work for the organization where I am placed, gain valuable corporate experience, and learn a lot from practical experience.

Internships Opportunities:

Internships offer students a chance to work on real-world business projects and to gain hands-on experience in areas such as marketing, finance, strategy, operations, and HR. A purview of my IIM Raipur adventure

Placement Experience:

The placements are doing exceptionally well at IIM Raipur. The placement season begins in August for both summer placements for a period of 2months as well as for final placements. This year more than 100 companies participated in the process ranging from Indian companies like Reliance, Asian Paints, etc. to international companies like Amazon, Morgan Stanley, etc. The highest package stands at 60Lakhs and the average package offered stands at 18Lakhs. The recruitments are made in a variety of domains like Marketing, Finance, IT, Operations, and Consulting. The profiles offered are Finance Analysts, Consultants, Management Trainees, Marketing Specialists, Data Analysts, etc. The college placement season enjoyed 100% placements for both summer and final placements and the credits go to the placement committee of the college and the exceptional students. My summer internship is at Reliance Retail as a Strategy intern and I want to make a career as a strategy consultant.

Internships Opportunities:

There are tremendous internship opportunities available at the college under various domains as per the interests of the students. We enjoyed around 110 companies visiting the campus both online and offline for roles in Finance, Marketing, Supply chain, Operations, Consulting, and IT. Companies like Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, Asian Paints, Reliance, Aditya Birla, ONDC, Ecosoul, Accenture Consulting, etc. visited the campus for internships. We are also offered short-term projects by various companies which help us in applying our theoretical knowledge by testing it in the real world. These projects help us to gain insights about various fields which also aids in understanding our true interests while earning some extra bucks on the side. Projects are diverse and usually under startups which is an added advantage to the students.
