Placement Experience:
IIM Raipur witnessed 100% placements for both- summers and the finals. This year there's a hike in the highest as well as an average package for the finals and summers. For more placement details, you can visit the iim raipur official website.
Remarks:
Admission at IIM raipur is through CAT exam for which we have to fill a registration form which is mandatory, followed by recieving CAP email and Personal interview. The initial criteria for applying for CAT online form was 60% in 10th and 12th.
Placement Experience:
IIM Raipur has a proven track record of putting its graduates in reputable Indian and international businesses. The institute has a bustling placement cell that collaborates closely with employers to provide students a variety of employment prospects. During the hiring season, students are given salaries that are competitive with the market. An MBA from IIM Raipur is widely respected in the business for its employability and can pave the way for a prosperous career in a number of industries, including finance, consulting, marketing, and operations. Remarks:
For getting into IIMs, there are a few criteria as follows: 1) CAT Percentile (94 for general category): For every aspirant CAT entrance exam is a must. 2) Graduation 50%: there should be a minimum of 50 percent marks in the graduation. 3) Personal Interview: Lastly PI will be there and you have to get through the PI as your cumulative marks.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum is good. As a 1st-year student, I feel that all the subjects are relevant and interesting enough. The interaction in the class is very much different and engaging. The rigor is very high although.

The admission process was flawless. I opted for IIM Raipur. Everything including documentation was online. The required documentation that could not be produced during registration can be given in Dec 2022 (Admission date-24/06/2022).
Placement Experience:
The final-year students are eligible for the final placement. The average is around 17.73 lacs p.a. The company visits the college as high as 113+ and the college provided 100% placements in various domains, roles, and positions.
Remarks:
I am currently pursuing MBA from IIM Raipur. I have appeared for CAT 2021 and received shortlist calls from IIM Kozhikode, CAP calls, new IIMs, and others by IIMS. The application form can be found on the official website. The application form fee is around 2000-2500. The application window is open from the second week of August to mid of September. Once the candidate has received the shortlist call, gd/pi process is intimated to you via email. The gd/pi mainly focuses to know the candidate better and the candidate is judged on various parameters. The evaluation criteria for each business school is different from the other. The gd/pi process is smooth as it could be. The faculty sitting on the other side, tries to know the strength (soft skills and knowledge skills) of the candidate. They ask questions more related to your resume and your educational background and experience. Improvement - A proper feedback could be sent to students where they can improve on if they are not qualified
Placement Experience:
The placement process is highly competitive and rigorous, as the institutes are known for producing some of the most highly sought-after management graduates in India and around the world. The placement process usually begins in the second half of the final year. In recent years, the placement process at IIMs has seen an increasing number of top companies participate, with many companies offering top-notch packages to students. The average salary offered to students during the placement process has been increasing steadily over the years, and many students are able to secure high-paying jobs with leading companies. 100+ companies visit, 100% of the students get hired, the highest package provided was 42.15 lacs, and the average was 17.73 lacs. And I intend to work for the organization where I am placed, gain valuable corporate experience, and learn a lot from practical experience.
Remarks:
The eligibility criteria for CAT are typically a bachelor's degree from a recognized institution with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories). Some institutes may have additional eligibility criteria. To find the complete eligibility criteria and the details, candidates should refer to the official CAT website or the websites of the participating institutes. And based on the CAT scores, institutes shortlist candidates for further rounds. Finally, institutes make the final selection for admission based on the candidate's overall background and performance. It's crucial for applicants to carefully read and understand the eligibility criteria and admission process before applying. In terms of improvements, a more user-friendly online application process and more transparency in the cut-off criteria would be beneficial. The cut-off is currently determined by various factors such as the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, and the number of seats available.
Placement Experience:
The placements are doing exceptionally well at IIM Raipur. The placement season begins in August for both summer placements for a period of 2months as well as for final placements. This year more than 100 companies participated in the process ranging from Indian companies like Reliance, Asian Paints, etc. to international companies like Amazon, Morgan Stanley, etc. The highest package stands at 60Lakhs and the average package offered stands at 18Lakhs. The recruitments are made in a variety of domains like Marketing, Finance, IT, Operations, and Consulting. The profiles offered are Finance Analysts, Consultants, Management Trainees, Marketing Specialists, Data Analysts, etc. The college placement season enjoyed 100% placements for both summer and final placements and the credits go to the placement committee of the college and the exceptional students. My summer internship is at Reliance Retail as a Strategy intern and I want to make a career as a strategy consultant.
Remarks:
The Admission process is divided into 2 parts: CAT Get the calls from IIMs and clear GDPI Starting with CAT, you can register for the exam in August when the examination forms are released and the application fee varies yearly, during my time it was 1000Rs. This common application test is accepted by all the IIMs, FMS, IMT, and some other B-schools as well. It is conducted by a different IIM college every year. The application window is usually open for two months from August to September. The CAT comprises three sections that test different capabilities: 1. Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension 2. Data Integration and Logical Reasoning 3. Quantitative Ability Every college has a specific sectional and overall cutoff to be eligible to get a call but the basic eligibility criteria are getting 50% in 10th, 12th, and graduation. The number of seats at various colleges also varies and a certain percentage is kept fixed for SC, ST, OBC, and EWS categories.
Placement Experience:
The placement has been better than usual. Multiple opportunities are provided for the students to grab better packages time and again. 100% of the batch is placed. I am planning to join the company in which I have been placed post-MBA.
Remarks:
The shortlist for an interview is received based on the CAT percentile. After that, a detailed form is to be submitted post which the interview is conducted. The interview is generally for half an hour based on the form filled, resume and previous work experiences.
