National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), launched in 2015 by the Ministry of HRD, is a governing body that ranks the Indian education Institutions based on various parameters.  As per recently released NIRF Data, 2022, Gujarat University has achieved 58th rank in the university category and 73rd  in the overall category.

The recent NIRF trends indicate a loss of 15 ranks in university ranking, as well as 11 ranks in the Overall ranking category as compared to the previous year's NIRF Data. The overall score obtained by Gujrat University stands at 47.72 on 100 point scale based on various parameters such as:

National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC):

The NAAC functions through its General Council (GC) and Executive Committee (EC) comprising educational administrators, policymakers and senior academicians from a cross-section of the Indian education system. The Chairperson of the UGC is the President of the GC of the NAAC, and the Chairperson of the EC is an eminent academician nominated by the President of GC (NAAC). The Director is the academic and administrative head of NAAC and is the member-secretary of both the GC and also the EC. Additionally to the statutory bodies that steer its policies and core staff to support its activities, the NAAC is suggested by the advisory and consultative committees constituted from time to time. QS World University Rankings is an annual publication of university rankings by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). Previously called Times Higher Education–QS World University Rankings, the publisher had collaborated with Times education (THE) magazine to publish its international league tables from 2004 to 2009 before both began to announce their versions.
