Placement Experience:

During the 14th semester of IPM/5th semester of PGP. More than 150 companies. All students get placed. Mostly all domain companies come. Plan to do the job. Rarely do students pursue startups after the course. There is an option to leave after your Bachelor's and take a sabbatical for one year before mba.

Remarks:

Eligibility is After 12, give ipmat exam. Got an interview call. The interview was based on subject knowledge studied in higher secondary, general knowledge and hobbies. Also gave a written ability test on the same day as the interview. It was for 30 min and the topic for writing the essay was given on the spot.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is one of the major value propositions in the institute. Placements processes usually kick off during term V, in both offline and online mode and the entire process is coordinated greatly by the Placement Committee. Close to 200 companies participated in the process in the previous batch, including multiple new ones. For the previous batch, the average package was INR 25.01LPA and the median was INR 24.09LPA, the closeness of the figures assuring a laudable package for everyone. To detail even further, the average package of the top 100 students was INR 37.95 LPA. The highest package was also about INR 50 LPA. 100% placement has always been the case, despite having the largest batch size across all the IIMs in the country. Also, there has been a legacy of Elite recuiters such as BCG, Goldman Sachs and HUL, with majority of the students opting for the Consulting domain.

Remarks:

To be eligible for admission into the course, the candidate ought to have completed or be in the final year of graduation, with a specified threshold of marks across all past academic performance. As with any other IIM, the application can be made through the CAT (Common Admission Test) portal. The application fees is INR 1800/- for General category candidates (half of that for reserved categories), which covers the application to all the IIMs. (However, it may be noted that certain IIMs such as Rohtak charge separate fees for application.) Applications for the CAT form close around September-October. After the results come out in January, the institutes release interview calls. For this Institute in particular, past academic performance gets a high weightage- 40% for 10th and 34% for 12th, each being normalized using minimum and maximum scores. 6 points are also awarded for gender diversity. For the final selection, 40 points are allocated for the personal interview round.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good for the college. Companies from different domains come to campus to offer roles in different fields across different courses. 100 percent placements for both summer internships and finals.

Remarks:

It was very smooth and consisted of a personal interview. The application process consisted of documentation. Did not avail reservation, offline process was well managed. All the details regarding the application were available on the official website of the college.

Placement Experience:

The placements are in line with what one would expect from IIM Indore but there is an issue of random shortlists and a student-run placement cell that is unable to deal with things efficiently. Summer placements are random while finals are more organized

Remarks:

Took CAT exam and secured 96.5 percentile. There was a personal interview held which covered some basic GK questions about the news of the time and questions related to my undergraduate. They were conducted online but then have shifted to offline

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very good and holistic. It gives an exposure to the field of HR. The faculty are very interactive and helpful. The course is designed in such a way that it covers each and every aspect of Human Resources Management.

Remarks:

The admission process involved some steps. Firstly they announced their cutoff for selection criteria. For HRM it was around 90+ to clear the cutoff and 60+ for the sectional cutoff. Non. Engineering students had extra points and for gender diversity, they gave extra points to female candidates. After clearing the eligibility criteria we got a detailed form, which included basic details, SOP writing, and other information. Then we got called for PI and after the interview, the results were declared.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good mostly happening in 6 semesters. A number of companies used to take part in the process and most of the students also. I want to be an HR manager after the completion of my degree.

Remarks:

Eligible after graduation, the application form float in the month of July, and the exam schedule in November are based on whether you got selected for further process GDs or PIs. The process is good enough that there is no need for improvement.

Placement Experience:

In term 5 final placements starts. A huge number of companies visit with a good package. There is an ample number of opportunities provided by the placement committee. The highest is somewhere 1 Crore and the average 30 lakh.

Remarks:

I have CAT 2021 as my first step to getting into IIM Indore. Anyone who is a graduate or in the final year of graduation can apply for CAT. More details regarding CAT can be found on its website. IIM Indore's cut-off depends on what background you have, and what is your gender, and if female, you get extra points during the interview shortlist and final result. Non-engineers also get extra points. The cut-off is somewhere between 98-99.8 percentile in CAT with a stellar academic record as weightage during shortlisting is only 20% for CAT scores and remaining for past academic scores and others. Cut-off differs according to category. Above mentioned cut-off is for a general-category student. Due to Covid, I had an online interview and there was no GD. The interview questions will be majorly on your work experience or internship and academic background if you are a fresher. For improvement, I think less weightage should be given to past academic scores and more to CAT scores.

Placement Experience:

There are two rounds of placement one is a summer internship and 2nd the final placement. Summer internship happens in 1st term itself and the final placement is in Jan. The placements are quite good and everyone gets a fair chance.

Remarks:

CAT exam and an undergraduate degree are the eligibility. You can fill out the CAT form from the CAT website. It is during September mostly. And exam happens in November after qualifying for the cut-off through PI you get the final offer Letter. Ews and other reservations are there. No improvement

Placement Experience:

The college offers enough placement opportunities for students. Summer Internship is offered by the companies during August - September which is to be done in April - May next year. Final placements happen after term 5 during the month of December - January. For PGP HRM a total of 20+ companies participated in the final placements. Top firms like Aditya Birla Group, Deloitte, AON, Tata Capital, Capgemini, JSW, etc come to the campus for recruitment. The highest package offered was 36 LPA with the average package being 20.3 LPA. The placement is at an impeccable 100% year-on-year.

Remarks:

To get into any IIM, everyone has to appear for Common Admission Test (CAT) whose application starts a few months prior to the exam. Fees for the same are around INR 2000/- After the results are out within 1 month of CAT, based on the shortlisting criteria (determined at the start of every batch) of each institute they receive an interview call. For IIM Indore the criteria is as follows: 10th Score: 20%, 12th Score: 20%, CAT Score: 20%, Gender Diversity Factor: 10%, Academic Diversity Factor: 20%, Work Experience: 10%. Post which there is a PI round conducted by the institute and the final selection is done. The final selection has the following components: 10th Score: 10%, 12th Score: 10%, CAT Score: 10%, PI Score: 40%, GDF: 5%, ADF: 20%. Final cutoffs are not revealed by the institutes but there is a reservation for the categories and they can avail of their benefits.

Placement Experience:

The placements here happen two times during the course, the first is a summer internship and the second is the final placement. For summer internships, the participants start preparing their CVs in the month of July as it goes through multiple rounds of iteration. The companies visit the campus during placement week at the end of September. The top companies included Aditya Birla, Tata Steel, and Pernod Ricard. For the final placements, the companies start recruiting in the month of January, during this time participants are asked to prepare their CVs again. The average salary for the batch 2022 was around 20L with the highest being 36L and the median 19.6L. The top companies are Capgemini, Tata mutual funds, ICICI and Kotak.

Remarks:

A candidate has to give CAT which becomes available at https://iimcat.ac.in by the first week of August and the admission fee is around 2300. A candidate must have at least a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks or have completed a professional degree with the required percentage or should be in the final year of a Bachelor's degree with the necessary percentage. Minimum required CAT percentile should be obtained. A composite score is calculated for candidates selected in stage 1 based on the 10th, and 12th, CAT overall score, gender and academic diversity, and work experience. This composite score is used to select candidates for personal interviews. After PI, A composite score is calculated for candidates selected in stage 2 based on the 10th, and 12th, CAT overall score, PI Score, gender, and academic diversity. This score is used for the final selection.

Ques. Is IIM Indore’s Integrated Program in Business Analytics any good?

● Top Answer By Gourav Raj on 11 Jan 23

Choosing a Data Science Program is a difficult task because the market is flooded with these courses. All of the programs are in collaboration with prestigious universities. The program includes a fantastic combination of IIM Indore. That, however, is no longer a challenge. The best part about Jigsaw is that they always have a listening ear—they are eager to learn about the challenges of the students and are resolved with the same responsibility. Every issue will be addressed and resolved. The course is good; the more time you spend on it, the more knowledge you will gain. you will never be crippled with content as Jigsaw is having a pretty decent quality of content and is very easy to follow. All weekend classes will be recorded and made available to you if you want to review the material. The course will walk you through the statistical methodologies and tools used by data scientists for data analysis and modeling. You have both graded and non-graded assignments. Non-graded for practice and graded for completion of the course. The more you practice, the more confident you will become. You will complete a mini capstone and a capstone project to gain hands-on experience....Read more

Ques. How was your first day at IIM Indore IPM?

● Top Answer By Vedika Pandey on 12 Jan 23

Here is the experience of one of the IPM students of IIM Indore.  She completed some paperwork and a brief registration process as soon as she arrived at the campus and Hostel Reception Center, after which she was given her temporary identity card, room key, etc. She also completed the course registration and other paperwork later that day. The following two days of Induction were when the real action began. On the second day, she and her friends hurried to the auditorium after hearing an introduction to the faculty, information about IGNOU, and the format of the IPM course. The remaining three days of the induction passed slowly. Despite the fact that students were involved and there were actual activities. You are prepared for life at IIM, which is tedious and enjoyable but irregularly busy, during the 7-hour continuous induction....Read more

Ques. What has more value, an IPM from IIM Indore or a BBA from some reputed college and then an MBA from some top IIM?

● Top Answer By Farah Shah on 12 Jan 23

First, keep in mind that you're looking for a program that will help you develop your entire personality while also giving you access to cutting-edge amenities and facilities and an assured MBA from one of the best B schools in the nation. The IPM course offered by IIM Indore is ideal for you if this is what you're looking for. If, however, you are solely interested in a BBA program and are confident that you can enter IIM ABC after BBA despite the competition from roughly 2 lakh engineers, then go for it. However, if you choose to do so, you also have the choice to leave the IPM after receiving your undergraduate degree and enroll in a better business school to complete your MBA. Therefore, if you must choose between the two, it is advised that you go with the first because it will give you better exposure, a more competitive environment, better amenities, and a rare opportunity to graduate from an IIM that is among the top 5 in the nation....Read more

Ques. Can anyone provide reviews about PGPMX diploma from IIM Indore?

● Top Answer By Shreya Khatun on 28 Aug 21

One of my friends was a part of the 7th batch of the PGPMX course at IIM Indore. Here is her review. The PGPMX course is constructed by keeping in mind the requirements of students. It offers a practical understanding of various topics.  The pedagogy is being taught by professors who come from the main campus of IIM Indore. This ensures that the teaching standard is the same as that of the main campus of the institute. The subjects are updated, as per industrial demands, and it includes important course areas such as social media marketing and organizational perspectives. Most importantly, the class profile is highly diverse. It helps students build a network that includes students from a variety of cultures.  The curriculum encourages peer-to-peer learning patterns, with different discussions.  IIM Indore also organizes guest lectures and occasional sessions from several industry experts.  IIM Indore undoubtedly provides the best opportunities, if you know how and when to use them purposefully. ...Read more
