- The curriculum of the college was very good and to the point. It fully focuses on all aspects of machine components and circuits.

- We receive scholarships on the basis of Prerna or Medhabruti, etc. Loans are also provided to students who need them. Its a commendable job done by our institute.
- The best thing is the Idea and the innovation cell that has a tie-up with NASA.
- The hostel facility is so good, providing the best quality food, and also offering good transportation to the college.
- The best college in Odisha in terms of infrastructure, faculty, fee structure, curriculum, sports, hygiene, lab facilities, and quality of food in the hostels.
Dislike
- Teachers are good, but due to it being a small place, they are not motivated enough to teach.
- Since the college was established in 1956, the fans and lights have not been changed.
- The conditions are so poor that you will have a negative impression at first sight.
- I feel that the water facility here is very poor, and its also quite far from the town area, making it difficult to get materials quickly.

Placement Experience:
Almost 70% of the total pass-outs get placement ranging from 6lakhs to 45lakhs. Mostly tata, wipro, Deloitte, isro, Microsoft, Adani, and many mnc come to offer placements. I'm planning for an off-campus placement after my degree completion.
Remarks:
JEE and OJEE exams were the eligibility criteria. All the credentials to be filled were provided on the college website. Fee deduction for reservation candidates. More wide range of payment channels should be provided.
Placement Experience:
The placement improved a lot this year. 80% more students have an avg of 8.5 lahks. Core students are all placed with a 6 LPA avg. The placement of any branch here is good and improvement is going on every year. My plan is to get placed in the final year.
Remarks:
Eligibility of the course is that you have to secure a minimum jee main rank after which you may qualify. It's a little bit easy to get into it. First give jee main then opt for ojee counseling then you might get into it. Go for ojee website you will get everything. The admission process should be a bit too fast & should be done properly within the proper time.
Placement Experience:
Around 70% of students get placed in vssut every year. The highest package is around 15 LPA, the average package is around 7Lpaand the lowest package is around 3Lpa. Many students get admission in the core also in IT companies.
Remarks:
You can apply for VSSUT Burla through JEE mains, after JEE results you can find the application form through ojee. After 1st allotment, a sum of 10000 INR has to be paid for the general and EE categories and 5000 INR for SC, ST. Reservation for sc, st, EWS.
Placement Experience:
From 3rd semester students are eligible to sit in the campus placement. Many renowned companies like TCS, Capgemini, cognizant and other core companies like Aditya Birla, Jindal and many more companies visit our campus. Every year around 60 per cent of students get placed
Remarks:
For the course, you have to qualify for to jee main exam which is conducted by nta you can easily find the application form on the nta website and it occurs twice so the application fee is 300 for each session and the dates are announced in December. To get admission into this course you have to secure a minimum of 80 above the percentile for the general category.
Placement Experience:
Placement is very sound in this college. And it's the package is very eye-catching. Many MNCS and govt. Companies come for college placement like Wipro, Delloite, TCS, ISRO, Infosys, IBM, and many more. Almost 80% of students get qualified. Packages range from 8 lakhs to 48 lakhs.
Remarks:
The admission process was quite simple. And they only asked for JEE mains and JEE rank. And you can find all the application fee details and dates on the official website of the college. There are some reservation benefits for some categories. I hope the process includes more online channels.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The exams in my semesters are average but the marking in the electronics department is a little strict. However, I have no current backlogs and I have a decent cgpa too sometimes it's difficult to pass in a few subjects but it depends upon the students' mentality and goals too.
Remarks:
The admission process was moreover by JEE mains and counseling was through Ojee. The application fee was 400 rupees in my time and the counseling was 2 months long almost 4 rounds . in the final round I was allocated to VSSUT, Burla in electronics and telecommunication engineering.
Placement Experience:
The placement of the college is decent. The average LPA offered is 6-7 overall. The average for Computer science is 10 LPA. Companies - TCS, L&T, Aditya Birla Group, MCL, and Infosys are the top recruiters of our college.
Remarks:
We have to give JEE mains exam to get into college. The admission depends on our rank. Good-rank students can get into top branches. Also, lateral entry students can get admission by giving Odisha JEE exam. The application can be found on the official Odisha JEE counselling website.
Placement Experience:
After the completion of your 3rd year, you are eligible to take the placement offers. The placement scenario is very good and a max number of students are placed until their completion of the final year. There are numerous companies which include TCS, Wipro, Deloitte, Maruti Suzuki, ABG, L&T, etc.
Remarks:
The main admission criteria are on the basis of JEE score and the range of ranks for the following course was 150000-300000. There are reserved seats for the other castes excluding the general. The admission process is very professional.
Placement Experience:
They provide placement support for both final and pre-final year students. Companies like byjus, Deloitte, and TCS are coming for placement drives. The college avarage package is 7 lpa from my department 50% to 60% of students get placed in core companies like L&T, and Vedanta.
Remarks:
There are so many processes to take admission to this college. For an engineering B.tech 4-year course you have to clear JEE entrance exam with a good rank. For M.tech you have to score a good mark in B.tech or you have to clear the GATE Entrance exam with a good rank Lastly you can join through spot admission. The faculties are really good they help you in the admission process. In the year 2017, I take admitted to Electronics and telecommunication. At that time the course fees they take as 85000. They provide loan facilities. You can pay your admission fees in instalments also. They provide scholarship facilities for meritorious students, Mostly they provide Only SC, ST & OBC students. If you want to pay your fees by scholarship amount then you can. All course fees are varries because of course and class strength. They provide all types of Masters's courses like MBA, MCA, and M.phil. For TFW students reservation is available and for them, the fees will be less. For the Entrance exam, all forms are available on websites.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I didn't choose mechanical engineering, but mechanical engineering. Mechanical Engineers are all-round experts, and their jobs will never end. The teachers here are very supportive, and help in every possible way, by providing notes, clearing doubts even after college hours, and some teachers even provide textbooks to needy students. There are 4 exams every year, and 2 semesters. Each semester has a 50 marks end semester exam and a 30 marks mid-semester exam. The rest 20 marks are from internal assessments, given by the teachers.
Remarks:
I gave JEE Mains examination, after passing my 12th. Then the counseling was conducted by the OJEE, after which I had to go to the college for physical verification of documents. At first, I had to pay the hostel and the semester fees all at once. The application is released just after the declaration of JEE Mains results. You have to get a minimum of 65% in both your 10th and 12th to be eligible for admission. The cut-off is every year changes, so be updated in this regard.
