What students say about Chandigarh University - [CU]

Likes

  • The course curriculum is as up to date with the IT industry as we were taught by the best faculty, who themselves have either a doctorate or a masters.
  • Chandigarh University provides the best internship opportunities in companies like Amazon and Microsoft, offering the role of SDE intern at Amazon and other companies.
  • HCL, GOOGLE, AMAZON, L&T, GODREJ, DELOITTE, DELL, HP, FLIPKART - these companies dont need any introduction, do they? Well, getting a job in one of them is a dream come true. So, the best part of CU is to guarantee our placement and a package ranging up to 35lpa.
  • The fees structure is 32500 for a minimum of 2 years for an MBA course, offering the best scholarship and placement opportunities to develop knowledge and skills.
  • The campus life is very vibrant. Our annual fest is called CU Fest, and there are 3-4 tech fests organized every month.
  • The hostel facilities are also awesome. Lots of facilities are provided inside the room, such as a study table and a mirror with Wi-Fi.
  • All stream students can be admitted in BCA. The application form is available on the Chandigarh University website. You can take a scholarship exam to reduce fees, and 100% scholarship will also be provided if you do your best in the scholarship exam.

Dislike

  • I came here for CSE, but due to my low percentage in class 12, it was not possible.
  • The college didnt provide us with an internship. Neither did they encourage us to go for an internship, which I feel is my worst experience here.
  • The placements for civil and mechanical engineering were very poor during the years when I was studying.
  • The fee policy is well set and the cost is up to the mark, but updating and paying fees is too difficult via NEFT/RTGS or offline methods.
  • The classrooms are pathetic and poorly maintained, with flies in them, broken benches, and nearly every bench having an exposed hook on its corner. This hook tears through clothes and cuts the skin.
  • The hostel facility is also available, but the food is not good. I would rate the hostels 3.5 out of 5. There is tight security for the hostels. The behavior of some wardens was also very bad, and they speak rudely with students.
  • In other words, BUniversity is not good for any student. All students from different states come here.

Placement Experience:

I don't know much about the placement since I am a fresher. But I heard that lot of companies come for the placement and they actually hire a lot of students at a high salary package. My plan is to get a placement after BCA.

Remarks:

Eligibility of the course: 12th pass with any stream. The application process was done online. The Application form was for Rs 1000. I was asked to pay Rs 5000 initially for reserving the seat. The admission carries on till the September. They take almost every student who applies. There are no minimum marks required or something. This should be worked upon.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have a sincere interest in computers & coding, that's why I choose BCA. I didn't choose B. Tech CS because it's of 4-year course & BCA is a 3-year course, I have another plan for the future like going for MCA from another university.

Remarks:

I took the CUET entrance exam, for admission to Chandigarh University, for the course of BCA. This year's cut-off was 106.8%. I just enrolled for the CUET online, & also checked about Chandigarh University College from their official websites & much more other websites like College Dekho and more.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I am interested in computer languages. I want to be a coder. The faculty is also very good at our university. There are nearly 1000 teachers at our university. And each teacher is well qualified and their teaching method is also good. After 1 month the most start for the best of students and it is easy for people to get passed in the subjects.

Remarks:

The admission process is very simple to take admission in my university. The minimum eligibility is that you must have more than 70 percent to take admitted in the course. The application form and other details can be easily found on its site. One can get a scholarship after taking the scholarship test.

Placement Experience:

from the 5th sem you get eligible for placements and internships. there are quite good amounts of companies visiting every year and quite of good offers are made. The highest for my course is 16 LPA and the average is 6lpa. 80% of students get placement. go for master or any other specific course.

Remarks:

need to have a 12th mark sheet and cgpa above 6. you can find the application form, application fees, and application dates on their claims website. there are limited seats so the reservation can help you to get one of the seats. can do a virtual orientation before admissions .

The placement is good. If you have skills you can grab camps placement no need to worry about that. I got placed in my very first interview at Capgemini. Whatever fee you have paying expect the same amount of salary.

Remarks:

Getting admission is very easy. Anyone that has more than 50% can get admission to this university. You need to go to any of there centres and deposit 10000 and the rest amount on the University campus. You can also apply online

Placement Experience:

There is a good thing about universities their placements are good After 4-5 semesters you are eligible for the Placement drive but you need to score a 7.5 cgpa and 75% attendance. average package is 3-4 lpa and the highest 2 crore package in CSE.

Remarks:

If you clear your 12th with above 50% Then You can directly apply for admission. You have to go and their website and Put your contact details then after some time they contact you. There is no reservation or benefits. But they conduct an exam for a scholarship you can apply for it.
