Does having an arrear during the first year in Anna University affect our chances of getting placed?

There are two things you should be aware of: current arrears and arrears history. The current arrear is the one for which you have not yet cleared the paper at the time of placement. To put it simply, they are the unresolved papers you have in the seventh and eighth semesters, i.e. during the placement season. The history of arrears is the one you cleared at the time of placement, but it will remain in your academic records. Every company has its own criteria for selecting candidates, but the majority of companies (say, 98%) will not hire a student who is currently in arrears. Whats more, you wouldnt be able to attend even large IT companies. So, to get to the point, having an arrear in the first semester will not affect your placements, but you should complete the paper by the sixth semester (for non-circuit branches) or the end of the second year (for circuit branches) as placements begin a little earlier, such as having internship opportunities in the third year in great companies such as Microsoft ( for CS and IT). If you are a mechanical engineer and have an arrear and clear it, you will be unable to attend some good companies such as Hyundai, Daimler(Benz), and others.

What is the placement scenario for chemical engineers at Anna University?

The placement opportunities are not that great for Chemical Engineers at Anna University. Bulk companies like TCS, Infosys, and Accenture, and Analytical companies such as Latent View and Zoom Rx visit the campus every year. Some other IT and Core companies that visit the campus for recruitment are IT: L&T Infotech Zoho. Core: Hyundai Saint Gobain ITC SterliteCopper TVS Srichakra Coromandel fertilizers Reliance Some students even got placement offers from Thermax and Dow for their summer internship.

How good are the placements in Anna University for M.Tech students in biotechnology?

The placement opportunities for M.Tech students in biotechnology at Anna University are very rare. My friend is a student of Anna University currently pursuing M. tech in biotechnology. She told me that the reality is different once you get into college. No doubt the teachers and curriculum are top notch, but the sole focus throughout the entire first year is studies. There are no practicals at all. Rather it looks like studying the core subjects of B.Tech with higher level education. The second year has both minor and major projects. Once you are done with the projects you have to do the job seeking alone. There are no placements. Sometimes your mentor can offer you a decent package that will give you sufficient industrial exposure. After this you can apply for high-paying jobs also.

Better placements with experienced professionals.

Placement Experience:

From the 5th sem onwards the companies are coming for the recruitment process. The Top recruiting companies for my course are Tessolve and HCL Embedded. The highest package offered by my college and in my course is 28LPA, the lowest package is 4.5LPA, and the average package is about 5-6LPA. In my college, the placement percentage is about 87%. My plan after placement is to work and adapt to the company's culture to get a high increment in both role and money.

Internships Opportunities:

Zoho, Accenture, TCS, HCL Embedded, TESSOLVE, TESSOLVE, KAAR, WIPRO, DELOITTE, KPMG, CAPGEMINI, GOGOSOON. Some interesting projects include E-Vehicles, Solar power plants, Automatic door systems, Internet of things.

Students are eligible to attend campus interviews from the 5th semester onwards. The companies that have visited my branch include TESSOLVE, KAAR, and HVL EMBEDDED. Over 70% of students have been placed in various companies.

Internships Opportunities:

Several companies, including TESSOLVE, KAAR, WIPRO, DELOITTE, and HCL EMBEDDED, offer internship opportunities. The projects offered for internships are the development of face recognition and attendance systems using software, as well as the implementation of smart sensors for car parking.
