What students say about University of Petroleum and Energy Studies - [UPES]

Likes

  • The area and surrounding of UPES is the best because it is situated in Dehradun.
  • Food court : It's the best place to hangout with friends.
  • Infrastructure facilities here are very good, whether its the library or classrooms.
  • Infrastructure is very great and the views of dehradun is great.
  • Campus life its beautiful when it rains and the vibe is amazing
  • The campus life is just amazing with the beautiful landscape and the lovely weather of Dehradun
  • The thing i liked in the Upes is the atmosphere of Upes and its management

Dislike

  • Placements are in the IT sector, and the subjects taught in the curriculum are of no use there.
  • There are very few chances of placement specifically in my branch, as the current status of the Automotive Industry in India is very poor. This makes it very difficult for students to get placed, and the same goes for internships as well.
  • There is no scholarship given by the College; the loan facility is only for education loans and nothing else.
  • There are political parties in college, such as DAV College and other colleges, so there is no time wasted in elections and all those activities.
  • Because the problem with the campus hostel is that you need to share a common washroom, which I think is not hygienic.
  • Worst management I have ever seen, whether it is in the field of events or anything else.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements at the start of 4th year. The highest package of bpharma: is 80,000/month and the lowest package is 30,000/month. About 80% of students get placed. Some companies like dr ortho, Cipla, AIIMS Rishikesh etc.

Remarks:

My name is vedansh jain. The eligibility of this course is he/she may be 12th pass out from any school board and should clear the upes entrance exam. He/she may get the application form at the upes website.

Placement Experience:

The placements at our college are very much good compared to other colleges. Recently on Oct or Nov 5, students got placed in Microsoft with 50 lakh packages. The percentage of students getting placed is 80%

Remarks:

Eligibility - 12th marks or Upesnet exam The application form is available on Upes official website. improvement in the admission process is that they don't accept cash deposits at the time of our course admission which is a negative point.
