What students say about Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham

Likes

  • The course curriculum is awesome, and it covers almost all engineering core subjects, along with mathematics and computer science, on which the growing world depends.
  • The college has a very good internship program. The college placement committee is very supportive during the internship program.
  • You can work with the university administration through the scheme of earn while learn. Overall, it was a very good experience.
  • If you achieve a high rank in the Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam, you will be eligible for a scholarship.
  • The annual fest, named Anoka, is one of the best fests I have seen at my college. In that fest, actress Andreas participated and performed in a music event.
  • The quality of the meal needs improvement; in terms of nutrition, it is the best, but in terms of taste, it is not so good.
  • Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, is accredited A++ by NAAC and ranked as the 5th best university in India.

Dislike

  • The course fee is 1.5 lakh and the hostel fee is 1 lakh. However, the hostel food is nasty and not well maintained. It lacks sanity and variety, offering only sambar. The quality of lunch is horrible, though the chapati is acceptable. The curd is thin and watery, while the chutney resembles colored water.
  • Clubs are there, fests are very few, Dussehra is conducted by keeping the idol and food stalls, the new year is celebrated only by students in the room, hostel rules are bad, there is very little space, classrooms are good, sports are limited.
  • In the AMRITA mess, the food is also not good. It is the worst. Every day, we have the same type of food.
  • The same gate pass system I was talking about. It is the worst that confines college students between four walls.

Placement Experience:

Generally in our college students, while studying 6th sem, the placements will start the first few drives are CISCO, BOSCH, IBM, COGNIZANT, etc. and after starting of 7th sem the placements will come and almost every student will get placed with a good package. The highest package is 45 LPA average package is 7.5 LPA.

Remarks:

Yes, there is an entrance exam which was conducted by the college on their own, and the eligibility to get admission to Amrita the student must have 60 percent of marks in PU MPC and also the application is available on their website or you can get an offline application while you are in 12th and the cost of the application is 2000 and one more benefit is there is an admission process where you can get a seat on bases of JEE Entrance rank.

Placement Experience:

Placements here are very good as you get a chance to attend placements from other campuses of Amrita too, 96%students get placed and the highest package is around 57LPA. students get placed in the 6th semester itself.

Remarks:

We have to take an entrance exam and ranks will be given. cutoff rank would be around 1600 for the Bangalore campus. Local reservation is given and 50%of seats are reserved. Amrita.edu directs you and the registration process is easy to do.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have Taken Mechanical Engineering, and I have a Big Interest in Various Courses in Mechanical Engineering, My University Has Very Qualified Teachers, they all are very Hard Working and supportive, my Branch has a very less no. Of Students on the whole, But the faculties show their Good interest towards Our Branch, Exam Patterns are like we have 2 Periodic Test and 3-4 Quizzes happen in Between end semester and Final Semester Exam, Grading And Marking System is Quite Hard, But Passing The Exam is Quite Simple.

Remarks:

Firstly While Filling out The Registration Form of the University, We Have Given two Mode Of Admission Avail Scholarship, First By University's Entrance Test Called AEEE & By JEE Mode on which you have to Fill in Registration No. Of JEE And Percentile Scored on JEE. Fir AEEE Amrita Eligibility Entrance Exam, Provides two Attempts for the Exam Held Consecutively with JEE Sessions, Then For Admission Fill out the Counselling form and Giving Preference to Respective Amrita Campus and The Courses You Want to Take, There is 5000 Fee for Registration for Counseling.

Coming to placements this college is a great place. Placement Experience:

From sem 6 onward placements start and all students will be eligible for the placements. They're saying that they provide good companies with an average of 3lakhs of packages per company. About 90% of students will get placed.

Remarks:

Admission process was too tough even though they have AEEE entrance examinations to pass and get admission, mostly all the seats will be filled first and then the students getting average marks will be admitted through the entrance with higher fees slabs. Overall great University.

Placement Experience:

After 6th Semester students will be eligible for placements. Nearly 55 LPA company offered in this college. 97% of students are placed every year. And remaining students will try to go higher studies.

Remarks:

The student should get at least 90% in their intermediate and below 3k rank in the Amrita entrance exam. Can find the application form on the official website of amrita university. The admission process was very easy anyone can do it at their home.

Placement Experience:

The placements at our college are extraordinary with the highest CTC of 48 lakhs in 2022. And the average package for a CSE student is 10 lakhs. From 4th year onwards we are eligible for placements. There are many companies that visit and some of them are Amazon, Microsoft, Cisco, and Bosch. There are around 200 companies who visit us. There are around 150 offers made for CSE. Almost 94% of eligible students have been placed in the case. Plans are to get a good package.

Remarks:

The admission process is done through an online exam conducted by the University called AEEE. The registration process can be found on the Amrita website. The cutoff usually is around like you are supposed to get a rank of 3000 or less to get admission in computer science. Also, you have to have above 80% in 12th. There is a special quota reserved for own state reservation. To do this course you have to be in the science stream. Admission fees also can be found on the website.
