The BITS Pilani hyderabad curriculum is intended to be thorough and demanding with a focus on giving students a solid foundation in their chosen field of study. In a number of fields, including engineering, science, management and humanities, the institution also provides UG, graduate and PHD programmes. The faculty members are experts in their professions and hold advanced degrees. The ratio is probably around 1 is to 100. The exams are taken very timely and in a strict manner with no delay. The difficulty level is mostly hard as they expect a lot from students and prepare them for the outside world.
Any student who completed 12th std and a repeater could sit for the exam BITSAT which is the official entrance examination for entering any BITS institute. I gave the exam on 7th August 2021 in Mumbai. I got 257/450 in the exam and according to the cutoff, I was allotted the Electronics and Instrumentation (ENI) branch after 11 iterations and 2 spot rounds. The admission process was kind of tricky due to the corona situation, but in my opinion, the college handled it pretty well.
As bits is one of the most prestigious colleges in the country I always had a dream to study here. Luckily I cleared the cutoff for computer science which was also my preference due to my major inclination toward pursuing a career in its sector. Coming to the student-faculty ratio since cse is the most demanded branch the ratio is quite high but again there are separate tutorial classes and chamber discussion hours where you can clear your doubts with faculty one to one and that's more than enough. The faculty here mostly have done their PhDs and majors from foreign institutes or prestigious Indian one. The exams become quite easy if you have attended classes though there's a zero attendance policy.
For admission into bits you have to give bitsat which is now held two times a year and the best of two scores would be taken into consideration. after bitsat there are usually 7-8 iterations mostly at the same time with jossa and after that, you will be called into college if you have cleared the cutoff.
from the third year 6th semester, the students become eligible for campus placements and they should not contain any backlogs. all the companies like multinational companies like Microsoft google amazon bosch Wipro etc. highest ctc is 60 LPA and the average CTC is 30lpa.
we should write the exam which is conducted by the bits college and we have to score above 250 marks. all the details about the college will be in the bits portal like admission fees etc. all the admission process is good.
Students are eligible for placement from 4-1 where they might get PPO in PS. 94% on campus placement record and some companies that come are Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and Deloitte. I plan to go for on-campus placement after getting my degree.
One Has to qualify BITSAT examination. All details can be found on the official BITS website. Admission can only be made on the basis of merit. There is no reservation. The admissions process is already very straightforward.
The placements for CSE and Electrical branches are pretty well. You will get lots of opportunities for internships and placements. Even for research-oriented people, there are many opportunities are there.
The bitsat exam has to be given, and it is available online. No reservation benefits are there. There are around 150 questions and they are to be solved in 3 and half hours. The cutoff is decided for different branches based on some criteria.
