Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Goa is currently accepting applications for admission to its PhD Program (Regular and Full Time) under Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme and for the academic session 2023-24 (Spring Semester) commencing from January 2024. The course duration is of 3 years or 36 months, divided into 6 semesters. For admission into PhD courses, the applicant should have a master’s degree in respective subjects with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks. The last date for submitting online application and completing the payment for the Visvesvaraya PhD scheme and for the Spring Semester is 16th October and 31st Ocrober, 2023 respectively. The classes for selected candidates for Spring Semester will start on January 09, 2024. IIT Goa Ph.D. Eligibility criteria

For admission into any domain of Ph.D. from IIT Goa, the applicant:

  • Must possess a master’s degree in a relevant subject with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (5% relaxation for reserved category applicants).
  • Must have a valid GATE score/Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) of CSIR/ UGC/ NBHM/ DBT/ ICAR/ ICMR/ ICPR or DST INSPIRE Fellowship in the relevant streams.

IIT Goa Ph.D. Admission guidelines

  • Fill with your valid email ID.
  • Fill the branch applying for (Fill separate applications for different programme).
  • Please click on submit, you will be redirected to login page.
  • Please login to the portal.
  • Candidates are required to fill details as given in the form and save the form.
  • Candidates are required to upload the recent Passport Photograph (Maximum 200KB), scanned copy of Signature (Maximum 12KB), detailed CV, and Mark sheets as per eligibility (Maximum 400KB). The CV should mention the projects completed (bachelors and masters) and awards/recognition you received.
  • The system will not allow you to Submit the application without filling payment details.
  • Please fill the payment details carefully (see the corresponding section); once filled cannot be edited.
  • After filling all the details, please Preview and Submit your application form.After Final Submission, the system will not allow any further editing.
