Course Description
Application for admission to the Central University of Himachal Pradesh has to be online through https://cuhimachaladmission.samarth.edu.in/.
The Application process involves the following steps:
Step I: Register at the application portal.
Step II: Complete the online application Form with correct details.
Step III: Upload documents as per specification.
Step IV: Preview and edit the application form
Step V: Pay Application Fee using Debit/ Credit cards or Net banking:

Step VII: Submit the completed form
Please note that both undergraduate as well as post-graduate applicants can use one single application for applying to two UG or two PG degrees.
Photocopies of documents that need to presented at the time of registration, for verification purposes along with the originals are:
- All Certificates, Diplomas, Degrees, and Mark-Sheets of all academic qualifications
- Sponsored candidates must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer.
- Candidates with a gap of more than two years between the qualifying examination and the year of Application for admission in the university, should submit a Self-Declaration/ Self-Certification justifying the gap-period.
- Caste Certificate (if applicable).
- Kashmiri migrant certificate (if applicable).
- Proof of Permanent residence
Eligibility Criteria
A minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade in Bachelors/UG degree in science/engineering/technology stream from a recognised University or an equivalent examination
Course Details
The four-semester M.Sc. degree at CUHP is offered in
- Mathematics
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Botany
- Zoology
- Environmental Sciences and Computational Biology & Bioinformatics.
Sanctioned annual intake for each specialization is 33 students. For successful completion of the M. Sc. degree, students need to earn 80 PG credits.

Eligibility
- For M.Sc. in Physics and Mathematics specializations, applicants need to have completed an undergraduate degree in a non-medical/ Engineering/ Technology stream from a recognized University.
- A Bachelor’s degree holder in Chemistry, Botany, or Zoology from a recognized university can opt for M.Sc. degree in either Chemistry, Botany, or Zoology specializations respectively.
- M.Sc. in Computational Biology & Bio-Informatics as well as M.Sc. in Environmental Science requires a Bachelor’s/ UG degree in Science discipline from a recognized university
- They should have scored a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade in the qualifying exam.
- Applicants have to qualify the respective subject in the CUHP conducted PG Entrance Test FEAT.
Selection Criteria
- CUHP admits students on the basis of merit in the Further Education Admission Test (FEAT) Score.
- Three consequent selection lists are released after declaration of the Admission Test results, on the basis of which students can register for admission.
