Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU) was established in Shillong, the capital city of Meghalaya in July 2005. The university is affiliated to Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and Indian Nursing Council (INC). The creation of the university is in accordance with the University Grant Commission (UGC). The university holds 103rd rank among all over India.

MLCU Admission

Admission to all the UG and PG courses is provided based on merit obtained by the students in the last qualifying examination. 

Admission to Ph.D. programs is done on the basis of merit scored in the entrance examination followed by an interview.

Admission process in MLCU is both online and offline.

MLCU Scholarships

MLCU has set up a scholarship fund known as the MLCU Scholarship Fund. The objective of MLCUSF is to provide financial assistance to MLCU students on a merit-means basis. 

MLCU awards scholarships to its students every year following certain criteria.

  • Library: The University has both Central and Departmental libraries. The main library is housed in the main campus and is accessible to all the students and staff of MLCU whilst the departmental libraries with more specific and specialized holdings are located in respective departments and accessible to students and staff of those departments. 
  • It provides full text searches of almost 2000 journals. As of 2013, more than 8000 institutions in more than 160 countries had access to JSTOR, most access is by subscription, but some older public domain content is freely available to anyone. JSTOR content is provided by more than 900 publishers. The database contains more than 1900 journal titles.
  • Anti-Ragging Policy: In view to prohibit, prevent and eliminate the menace of ragging, the University has implemented the regulations notified by the University Grants Commission on curbing the menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutes. They implemented this policy as per the direction of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
  • Hostel: The Institute provides hostel facilities for both boys and girls in the campus. Hostel is fully equipped with the facilities and amenities that are required to stay healthy. Hostel has a 24 hours power supply and drinking water point on each floor. It also provides 3 times a day meal to all students with snacks in the evening. Hostel provides both outdoor and indoor sports infrastructure to all students.
