What students say about Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and Technology - [GRIET]

Likes

  • The exam pattern and course curriculum are better than those of other colleges. As I have compared, now my college is the best for conducting exams and anything else.
  • I had a very good experience upon completion of my course. A total of 55 companies had come. I had received a stipend of 30000/year through the government.
  • In my college, excellent placements are available. In 2019, one of my senior students had received 59 lakh rupees from Adobe.
  • The placements on campus are very good; almost 75% of the students get placed.
  • My college has exceptional sports facilities and labs with good infrastructure, as well as high-quality equipment. The labs and sports grounds deliver the best experiences, and my college has achieved success in intercollege sports and received numerous awards in extracurricular activities.
  • According to them, the college hostel has very good facilities, and our college hostel has its own gym where a trainer trains in the morning and afternoon.
  • The college has the best environment, consisting of the best infrastructure, placements, faculty, accommodation, and good facilities.

Dislike

  • It is not too bad, but one has to think carefully before making a choice.
  • The placement is one of the worst ever in college in Hyderabad. The only major recruiter is TCS. Other than IT companies like INFO-TECH, INNTER GRAPH, HCL, take students in small numbers in single digits or less than 20.
  • Now, when it comes to the fee structure, it is difficult for the below middle-class candidates to afford the fees.
  • A disappointing thing is that the management may or may not conduct the festival every year.
  • Hostel rooms are not good as they are shared by three members. We have to pay 4000 per month for the hostel.
  • The only bad remark I have about the college is the communication gap between boys and girls.

Placement Experience:

Placements in our college are considered to be better when compared with another tier 2 or tier 3 colleges. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. Oracle and Darwin Box were the top recruiters in the IT sector with a 10+ lakhs package. TCS, Capgemini, and Cognizant were a few of the companies that offered between 3.5 and 7 lakhs. More than 75% of students got placed in different companies. I am planning to do a job in the IT sector at TCS.

Remarks:

The admission process was based on the EAMCET exam rank. Clearing the EAMCET exam and studying till the 12th class is the eligibility for admission. Applications can make by attending counselling process, the process is of 3 rounds, one can try all these rounds to secure admission in his dream college. It takes almost 2 months for the process, it would be better if the admission process is quick. I secured admission to Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute, where I got 6894 ranks. And the cutoff was 7200 for Ece. It varies according to the college.

Placement Experience:

--->from 3-2 semester students eligible for placements ---->the companies are TCS, LTI, COGNIGENT, CAPGEMINI, TTECH, SADDLEPOIMT, LTTS, and ACCENTURE, these all are the major IT companies that hire students in bulk quantities but their 50 companies that hire in single digit ---->average package if 5lpa minimum package is 4lpas maximum package is 25lpa ---->99%students definitely selected in placements the remaining 1% is becy of lack of interest in placements ----->my plan after my degree is to settle as a developer in a reputed company

Remarks:

Iam a diploma student after completion of my diploma I attempt the entrance test i.e ECET at the time of iam attempted test there are total 30000 and cutoff marks is almost 90 marks out of 200 there are total of 12 seats in our college for the EEE branch and a I got seat under BC-D reservation (there must be reservation benefits), the admission process is extra good

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love computer science and always wanted to be a software engineer. There are a good number of well-qualified faculty who are accessible to the students whenever needed. most of the faculties are Mtech qualified and many of the faculties are doing the PhD course while working. There will be 2 mid-exams conducted every 2 months before the semester exams which happen every 6 months.

Remarks:

I applied to my college through eamcet. We need to check with the admission team for the application dates. After that, we need to go to the college to fill out the application form provided by them. we need to pay for the application fees. we can discuss the reservation benefits with them if there are any. I felt like it would be better if there are more technical events conducted.

Placement Experience:

From 3yr 2nd sem students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies like Amazon, Google, Flipkart, Deloitte, info sis, TCS, etc visit our college to provide offers. The highest package is 44lpa and the lowest is around 3-4lpa. Around 90% of the students will be placed. I plan to do my higher studies in foreign

Remarks:

Seat allotment is done through ts eamcet exam. 70% of seats are provided to the students who have written eamcet. And the other 30% of seats are management seats and NRI seats. In eamcet, if an obc student gets a rank below 7000 he/she can get a seat in CSE.

Placement Experience:

The placements for Gokaraju are quite more compared to other colleges, almost every student gets placed by the end of 4th year ..students are eligible for campus placements from 3-2 only. Many companies visit the college every year.

Remarks:

Admission was based on ts eamcet, 70%of seats belong to the convener quota and the remaining seats belong to the management and NRI quota. In the convener quota students who get below the 10000 rank gets full fee reimbursement and above 10k may or may not get based in their respective caste.
