How is IMI New Delhi? In terms of placements, infrastructure, faculty etc.

The following answer is based on my brother's experience in IMI New Delhi from where he completed his graduation last year. He mentioned the various aspects of the Institute like placements, infrastructure, and faculty. I have summarized his viewpoint under the following headings Infrastructure: The infrastructure was strictly average and nothing more than that. However, being located in the heart of the city it was easy to access various sports complexes. A basketball and a volleyball court are also available. Faculty: Being taught under such experienced professors is one of the best parts of being an IMI Delhi student. These professors are highly experienced and have a history of extensive research. Crowd: The crowd is a talented pool of students, some even with 99 percentiles. The students ranked well in terms of other aspects also like work experience and overall profile. Placements: Addressing the most sensitive issue, the placements are surely decent enough to get you good company. Many big brands visit the campus and good profiles are offered. You need to fill out the EOI and sit for the company you desire to join. With a legacy of more than 30 years, IMI New Delhi attracts big names to its campus. However, make sure you depend more on your own performance than the institute to guarantee a good placement package. Overall my brother was very satisfied with the results of the placements and claimed his hard work did really pay off in the end.

Is the current placement scenario really pathetic in IMI Delhi?

The institute has released the final placement report for batch 2021-23. More than 100 companies took part in the 2023 placements drive which included more than 40 new recruiters. Students were also offered 3 international offers. The IMI Delhi average package stood at INR 17.01 LPA. The highest and median packages stood at INR 50 LPA and INR 16.33 LPA, respectively. The summer placement report for batch 2021-23 has also been released. Around 90+ companies participated. 100% internship offers were made and the highest and average stipend offered was INR 2.40 lakh and INR 83,400 for 2 months, respectively. Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance were the top recruiting sectors during IMI Delhi placements 2023, with 35% offers. Some major companies that visited the campus for placements were Bank of America CRISIL Adani Group Tesco PLC Shell Global Boston Consulting Group

Are placement figures of New IIMs, IMT Ghaziabad and IMI Delhi inflated or genuine?

I can say with certainty that IMT Ghaziabad’s placement figures are highly inflated mainly because my own sister was a victim of the same. The placement committee portrays the inflated packages in different ways. The situation is worse at IMT Delhi. The students who join such colleges are mainly drawn because of the placement reports feeling wronged and rightly so. IMT Ghaziabad’s summer placements witnesses most of the batch receiving stipends of around 15-20k only. Some students even have to go for unpaid internships. Most of the students get placed in start-ups only. The final placements are all the more inflated with so many hidden variables that make it even impossible to identify the root cause of inflation. A major part of the batch receives an in-hand salary of around 60-65k only. The new IIMs also have inflated placement figures but this problem is way more serious at private institutes like IMT, NMIMS, SIBM, and SCMHRD. The real average package offered at IMT Ghaziabad is around INR 10 LPA only. Many students are offered packages as low as 5-6 LPA while many remain unplaced.

Does IMI Delhi placement reaches 12L for most of the batch? What's the reality?

Yes, the IMI Delhi placement does reach the 12 Lakh match for some parts of the batch. However, the details are subject to many factors. You can get an insight from the placement reports if you try reading behind the figures. The placement system works for placement data too. The top 10 percentile and then consequently the top 20 and so on. The average placement of any B School is usually determined by the top 40 percentile. A similar IMI Delhi average package of 17 LPA+ is driven mainly by the 40 percentile. The next lot of students come into the picture and kind of bring down the average package. This usually comprises 70 percentiles. The average is lowered to around 12 something. But I will suggest that as an MBA aspirant, you should focus more on being among the top 40 percentiles and not on the average package. This will be a driving force to overcome the struggles.

What is the placement record of the International Management Institute (IMI), Delhi?

The highest salary offered has also gone up to Rs. 50 LPA, which is great news for aspiring students.

What is the placement scenario for IMI Delhi PGDM (BFS)? Do they attend the placements along with the PGDM core students?

IMI Delhi PGDM (BFS) has recently published its final and summer placement reports for batch 2021-23, and the results are impressive. More than 100 companies, including over 40 first-time recruiters, participated in the final placements, and students also received three international offers. The average package for the batch stood at INR 17.01 LPA, with the highest and median packages offered at INR 50 LPA and INR 16.33 LPA, respectively. For summer placements, more than 90 companies participated, and all students were offered internships. The highest stipend offered was INR 2.40 lakh, and the average stipend for two months was INR 83,400. The institute also released the average package for the top 10% and top 25% offers, which stood at INR 25.21 LPA and INR 21.59 LPA, respectively. What is the average package for IMI Delhi’s BFS program?

International Management Institute or IMI is a self-financed private university with accreditation from AICTE, located in Delhi. It had a rank of 28 in the management category in NIRF 2020. The PGDM B&FS course at IMI Delhi aims to impart holistically, managerial competency skills with technical expertise in the Banking and Financial Services industry. To be eligible for admission, graduates are expected to have passed with a minimum of 50% along with their CAT score. At IMI Delhi, for the PGDM program, fees amount to a total of Rs. 18.29 lakhs. The cutoff for CAT in the year 2019 was 90. Placements: At IMI Delhi, more than 30 pre-placement offers (PPOs) were offered to students. BFSI sector was the largest recruiter with 29% of the total offers followed by the IT/ITES sector with 28% and the Consulting/E-commerce sector with 26% of the total offers respectively. Over 86 recruiters were part of the placement process. In IMI Delhi, summer internships saw the highest stipend of Rs. 2 LPA and an average stipend of Rs. 60,486, from top recruiters like HSBC, Capgemini, BMW, Deloitte, EY, etc. IMI Delhi’s Alumni network includes alumni from companies like Infosys, Ey, Deloitte, Genpact, Wipro, etc. For the year 2020, the placement statistics for the institutes are as follows. Aspect IMI Delhi Major recruiters American Express, Axis Bank, CRISIL, Goldman Sachs, HDFC, HSBC. Highest CTC Rs. 22 LPA Average CTC Rs. 13.07 LPA Average package: Notably, the Average CTC (Top 10%) and Average CTC ( Top 25%) for PGDM BFS are Rs. 17.84 LPA and Rs. 15.69 LPA respectively. Average CTC Course Rs. 13.28 LPA PGDM Rs. 12.88 LPA PGDM BFS Rs. 12.25 LPA PGDM HR We can see from the above facts that the average package for the PGDM BFS program for IMI Delhi is Rs. 12.88 LPA and the overall average packages are in the range of Rs. 12 Lakhs to Rs. 14 Lakhs.

How good in PGDM (B&FS) at IMI Delhi in terms of quality and placements?

International Management Institute has been ranked 9th and 28th for private MBA by Outlook and NIRF respectively. The college offers Post Graduate Diploma in Management in Banking & Financial Services as a two-year course. The fees for the course is 17.68 lakhs for the full period. Infrastructure & Facilities The college is built over a 3-acre campus and is home to a well-equipped library which includes journals, study material, magazines, and various e-learning facilities. It has separate boys and girls hostels. The college has sporting facilities and sporting grounds available. Other facilities such as an auditorium, gym, cafeterias, air-conditioned classes, and Wi-Fi are also available to the students. Placements The course has a perfect placement rate of 100%. Top recruiters include Reliance, Genpact, Accenture, HDFC, and Deloitte. The average offer received by students of PGDM (BFS) is 12 LPA. The highest package goes up to a whopping 20 LPA. IMI Delhi has been ranked highly among the top private universities in the country. The college has a very active placement cell which aims at providing a perfect placement rate consistently. The return on investment for the course is also extremely good, which makes it a recommendable institute. The curriculum is industry-based providing students with better knowledge for the corporate world.

Is IMI Delhi a good college looking at all aspects like exposure, teaching, placements, etc.?

IMI Delhiis India’s first corporate-sponsored Business Schoolby large corporates like the RPG Group, ITC, Nestle, SAIL, etc. It has been ranked 11th overall and 7th among the top 10 private B-School by Outlook. The model ensures that the student gets enough Industry exposure. The institute has a location-wise benefit as it is situated at the heart of Delhi which houses many corporate giants. Faculty:IMI Delhi has one of the best faculties for business education in our country, on the same level as the IIM’s. The pedagogy of IMI is also similar to that of IIMs i.e. based on case studies and peer learning. Selection Criteria: Itis quite stringent, thereby filtering the best minds in the country to the institute. This enables the students to collectively benefit through the process of peer learning guided by the amazing faculties. Students are shortlisted for admission based on their CAT/XAT/CMAT/MAT/ATMA/GMAT scores. The final selection is done based on Academic Performance, Performance in Extempore Speaking, Psychometric Test, Essay Writing, and Personal Interview. Infrastructure:It is one backdrop on the campus; the campus is small and doesn’t have much space for expansion. Placements:The batch strength of the students is small, so students get good opportunities in placements. Top brands like Citi Bank, Goldman Sachs, Citi Bank, Axis Bank, Google, Salesforce, Airtel, Nestle, RB, etc. hire from the campus. The average salary of IMI Delhi is on par with the newer IIM’s, but since the fees of the college are not very high, it provides a good ROI. The students get placed with average salaries of around 13.07 LPA while the highest CTC is around 20 LPA.

The highest number of students were placed from the PGDM batch. The placement percentage stood at 100% for the students of PGDM , PGDM (BFS) & PGDM (HR) courses.

The highest salary package stood at INR 32 LPA for PGDM (General) & PGDM (HR) students. Both the average salary & the median salary were the highest for the PGDM (General) students compared to the other courses.

The average salary increased from INR 12.3 LPA to INR 15.23 LPA. The median salary also increased from INR 12.1 LPA to INR 14.17 LPA.

Both the average salaries & median salaries of top 10% & top 25% students increased in 2022. The average salary of the top 10% of the batch increased to INR 23.04 LPA & the average salary of top 10% of the batch increased to INR 20.8 LPA. The average salary of the top 25% of the batch also increased from INR 15.5 LPA to INR 19.85 LPA. The median salary of the top 25% of the batch increased from INR 14.85 LPA to INR 18.20 LPA.

The summer internship placement drive for the 2021-23 batch witnessed the record highest stipend which stood at INR 2.40 Lakhs per month.

During the 2022 summer internship placement drive at IMI Delhi campus, the IT sector played the dominating role. Recruiters came from various sectors. Some of the major recruiters included Bajaj Allianz, Future Generali, Decathlon, Nestle, CarDekho, Careers360, Adani Group etc.
