Ques. What is the rank of Goa institute of mangement? Is it better than bimtech and welingkar and also PGDM BDA in GIM good choice?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 21 Sept 21

Ans. Both the colleges BIMTECH and Goa Institute of Management is decent colleges for management studies. Both the campuses are huge and offer good opportunities to students in upgrading themselves. NIRF 2021 ranked GIM 35 for PGDM/MBA.  For a PGDM BDA, GIM will be a great choice. I have a few friends from the program and they had pretty great experiences pursuing the course. The course has a perfect balance of management and data analysis. It is powered by SAS, the world leader in analytics. It offers a variety of courses and a 5-month long summer internship.  The initial batch of PGDM BDA had a 100% summer placement average, due to which the batch size was increased to 120.  If you are interested in doing a PGDM in BDA, GIM is definitely a great option. Read more

Ques. Which one should I opt for between BIMTECH PGDM core and Welingkar Mumbai core?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 17 Sept 21

Ans. Whenever you consider any college for MBA, you must collect a lot of information about their brand value, the exposure that they provide as an institute, the placements offered by them, and about their average packages. Here are some points you could refer to: There is no doubt that you should opt for Welingkar because of its locational advantage.  ROI is the same for both, but the brand Welingkar is quite popular among the faculty  They provide you with enough industrial exposure. When we talk about brand, Welingkar Mumbai is a really strong brand when compared to BIMTECH Greater Noida.  Apart from this, you are provided with very good exposure when you are pursuing your studies in the financial capital of India which is Mumbai.  The college provides a good placement also. Category BIMTECH WELINGKAR Total Fee 9 lakh 11.04 lakh Companies Visited ICICI, Infosys , IDFC, etc. Walmart, KPMG, Deloitte, etc. Highest Package 23 lakhs 25 lakhs Average Package 12 LPA 15-18 LPA Welingkar Mumbai is ranked among the top 30 institutes of India whereas BIMTECH is among the top 45. Therefore, we can conclude that BIMTECH is a good college but Welingkar is better.Read more

Ques. Which college should I choose (BIMTECH or Welingkar) for PGDM marketing?

● Top Answer By Laxmi Rout on 11 Jun 21

Ans. A friend of mine has pursued his PGDM from BIMTECH. Here is his insight about the institute. The campus of BIMTECH is amazing. The record of placement of the institute is decent but the ROI is not that good. The big names that offer placements to the students of BIMTECH are ICICI Bank, HDFC, Infosys Honda, Accenture, etc. 2021 Placement Statistics Average CTC 8.13 LPA Highest CTC 23 LPA The faculty is very experienced and has a lot of knowledge about the corporate world. BIMTECH is very popular for marketing, retail, and insurance courses. BIMTECH has been consistently ranked among the top 10 private B-schools and in the top 20 B-schools. The library of BIMTECH is arguably the best library in Greater Noida. The curriculum of the institute has a business and management orientation emphasizing the aspects of management that are practical. Overall, BIMTECH is a great choice for a PGDM degree in Marketing.Read more

Ques. Which college is better: IBS Mumbai or Welingkar Mumbai?

● Top Answer By Muskan Sharma on 15 Feb 21

Ans. Welingkar is far better than IBS Mumbai and even better than IBS Hyderabad also. All the campuses of IBS exceptHyderabad are rented properties.  IBS Gurgaon, Mumbai, Dehradun, Kolkata, Pune, Jaipur, Bangalore, and Ahmedabad are not approved by AICTE or UGC. They are just giving certificates and not a degree.  Except for IBS-Hyderabad, all other campuses of IBS are just not up to the mark and worth the pennies spent on them.  Moreover, IBS Hyderabad is also not among the top 30 best business schools in India. If you really want to get admitted to an IBS only, then go for the Hyderabad campus. If not Hyderabad, then don’t go for any IBS campus because people are just taking admission in Hyderabad campus because of the marketing officers who market IBS as a very good business school. I haven’t heard about any business school which requires marketing officers to insist students apply for IBS.  One of my friends was also insisted by the IBS marketing people to fill up the IBSAT form and he even applied for that. Everyone who applied for IBSAT gets selected for the Hyderabad campus interview and after that he got 79.4%ile. He was offered the Hyderabad campus but after getting XISS Ranchi, he didn’t take admission in IBS Hyderabad. After some time, he got to know, a marketing officer was saying to people that he got rejected from the Hyderabad campus and his score was the only 60%ile. So this shows how the IBS runs their admission department. Here is a comparison of the two institutes. Basis IBS Mumbai  Welingkar Mumbai Average CTC INR 6- 7 LPA INR 9.32 LPA Highest CTC INR 15 LPA INR 19.75 LPA Fee Structure (for PGPM) INR 4.01 LPA INR 5.5 LPA Major Recruiters HDFC Bank, TCS, Accenture, Citi group.  Deloitte, Axis Bank, Accenture, HDFC Bank, Airtel, Amazon, Cognizant, etc. No. of Recruiters 200+ 291 Placement Percentage 100% 100% So, if you fill the form for IBSAT and not take admission, you will become a promotion commodity for them. They will try to let the people in your college know and then again use the lines, He was a good student but “He got rejected” or didn’t get selected for IBS campus, etc. This will be done so that people would see IBS as a very good business school.Read more

Ques. Bimtech, Greater Noida or Welingkar, Mumbai. Which one of the both would be a better college for PGDM?

● Top Answer By Yatika Mehla on 05 Feb 21

Ans. BIMTECH and Welingkar are reputed B-Schools of India. Discussed below are some of the important features of the two institutes which may help you in choosing which will be a better alternative.  The table below draws a comparison of the two institutes.  Category  BIMTECH Welingkar Average CTC INR 8.13 LPA INR 8.79 LPA Highest CTC INR 23 LPA INR 19.21 LPA Fees INR 12 Lakhs INR 11 Lakhs Entrance  CAT, GMAT, XAT, CMAT CAT, GMAT, XAT, CMAT, MH-CET Welingkar Institute of Management: Welingkar Institute is one of the reputed B-schools in India. It offers several PGDM courses such as Business Design, Media & Entertainment, Health Care Management, Research, and Business Analytics, E-Biz, etc.  Birla Institute of Management Technology: BIMTECH, Greater Noida offers various specializations in PGDM such as International Business, Insurance Business Management, Retail Management. It was established with the backing of the Birla Academy of Art & Culture.  Comparison: (Winning Institution - Birla Institute of Management Technology) Among Birla Institute of Management Technology, Greater Noida and Welingkar Institute of Management, Mumbai, BIMTECH is a better option to opt PGDM. Following are the reasons why. Placement: The placement cell of BIMTECH is connected from the Birla Group of Companies. Thus, BIMTECH students become the first choice of recruitment for the Aditya Birla Group.  Expenses: In terms of course fees and other expenses, BIMTECH costs less than Wellingkar.  Therefore, for PGDM BIMTECH, Greater Noida would be the best option, as it is more economical and its placement is also better than Welingkar.Read more

    Admission :

I wanted to pursue management in media and Entertainment. For this stream, there are not many colleges in India. Welingkar being a good one in this stream, I had applied for it. So there are basically two mediums for admission - 1) Through your CAT/XAT/CMAT/ATMA, with different cutoffs. Followed by around of GD and Interview. 2) It takes admissions through certificates. This means if you have certificates of high level, in any stream, Welingkar can offer you a chance to go directly to the GD and Interview round. However, one should have taken any of the above exams.

    Remarks :

Good remark is that - the management plays a good role in building a student personally. Each of the students has personal mentor assigned who looks after the growth of the students. We have brainstorming session which are helpful. Also, there is a counselor available for students for mental stability. Bad remarks - they should expand their accomodations services and rooms are less and its on first on come basis.

    Admission :

With my percentile for CMAT exam,I chose Welingkar Institute with going through its feedback from other students and relatives, online reviews and also with it's Ranking as top 5 management institutes in Maharastra. Also I did some study over their learning methodology which I found very unique for their delivery of knowledge in a design thinking manner. As a part of admission procedure, I filled it's form and was called on the basis of my rank in cmat entrance exam and with my past performance and work experience. I sat for it's GD PI program and cleared the stages. My extra curricular activities have me an edge too as they carried extra points. So that's how I cleared through the hurdles and started with my 2 years journey of Management program.

    Remarks :

I have a like whole list of good remarks with it's facilities, working procedures and faculties but some points which bothered me was the canteen and it's good cost and quality and the auditorium space.
