Likes
- The course is excellent, and the curriculum is set by the college itself. Moreover, it follows and upgrades the syllabus autonomously to meet the requirements of companies.
- The internships at the college for CSE and IT students are excellent. Almost all CSE students are getting internships with a minimum stipend of 10k, and lectures are focused on product-based companies rather than service-based companies.
- We do have very good placement opportunities. Companies like Oracle, Pega Systems, Microsoft India, Accolite, etc., visit campus every year to hire students. The placement percentage is about 90% for CSE and 84% for IT.
- The fee structure at Vasavi Engineering College is term-wise, and there are scholarships available. The campus recruitment at our college is very good, with companies like Google and Infosys coming to hire us.
- Every year, there is a feast known as Euphoria. It is one of the best festivals in the city, and many celebrities come to our college.
- The hostel rooms are very neat and clean with good lighting facilities, and the beds are also really good.
- The admission process at Vasavi College of Engineering is very good. There is an entrance exam for enrollment in our college, such as Eamcet and Ecet.
Dislike
- The course is up to date. The classes and the faculty are going smoothly with the syllabus. However, a few faculty members are really bad. They are of no use in the college and treat slower learners as dumb. They dont care about them. Finally, the faculty sucks.
- A student can achieve rank in this college by securing a rank of less than 10k in TS EAMCET.
- There is a class every week for two hours for extracurricular activities and also a class for co-curricular activities, but there is no time to play games. There is only one hour in a week for games, which is very bad.
- There is no hostel for the college, I mean no such accommodation is provided by the college.
- Such bad remarks about the college. The only concern we sometimes feel is the small area of the college.

Placement Experience:
We have good opportunities for placements for Btech students than MCA. We hardly had 3 to 4 opportunities that too along with BE. We had only one placement separately held only for MCA. But for BE, there are a lot of placements held every year. In Vasavi College, BE students will have placement eligibility from the 4th year 1st semester, and for MCA it's the 3rd year 1st semester. In BE, almost 50% of the students get placed every year.
Remarks:
I have taken the ICET entrance test in 2015. Based on my rank I thought of applying to the top colleges, so I selected Vasavi College and shockingly I got placed in this. ICET is a common entrance test for MBA and MCA courses in Telangana. Graduates with 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) are eligible and in Math 10+2 is required for MCA. Application forms, fees, and dates are available on the official website, announced usually in February or March and the exam is conducted in May or June.
Placement Experience:
From the sixth semester students are eligible for campus placements Companies like servicenow, delivero, Providence, oracle, EA sports, Pega systems, TCS, Accenture, Infosys, Deloitte, atlassian are the popular companies that attend college placement. They provide around 5-6 offers every year The highest package is given by service now 34lpa, and Providence offers 27lpa and an average salary of around 7lpa given by Accenture and Deloitte In cse and it courses the placement percentage is around 95 percent and the percentage goes down to 60 per cent for ece, eee mech and civil courses My plans after getting the degree are to do my higher studies in foreign countries since the placement record is not good at Vasavi college of engineering
Remarks:
You can get admission into this college based on your EAMCET rank (only Telangana state EAMCET rank), based on your jee mains percentile(a separate admission process is done for this) After you write EAMCET, every student who has qualified for EAMCET needs to register to opt for college and branch (same as iits and nits etc). There will only be applications for students who want to join by their jee score, no fees are required for that. But students need to go to the college to get admission There will be a fee reimbursement for Categories except for oc only for Telangana state students. Even oc students can apply for fee reimbursement, showing their annual home income is less than a stipulated amount I think the current admission procedure is perfect as it is a college, and only students of ts and ap apply(mostly ), since it is the same as iits and nits, there will no confusion for students as they already know the procedure
Placement Experience:
Placements are there in the college for that we should follow the college curriculum and should do coding. Some companies consider GPA as their primary criterion. Some companies check for 8.5 cgpa and some for 8 cgpa. Rarely do they consider 9 cgpa.
Remarks:
I got a 1581 rank in my Ts-Eamcet. And I got admission into this college through eamcet Rank only. Through eamcet counselling, I have applied to 2-3 colleges including vasavi in computer science. And I got this in my first counselling itself.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The faculty is very good. They are senior professors with doctorates from prestigious universities, nits, and iits. I chose CSE because am interested and it is the most viral course these days. We have 20 students allowed to a single teacher. We will have 2 internal exams before the semester exam. Question papers are tough.
Remarks:
I have written EAMCET and secured a 3561 rank. I was allotted a seat in Vasavi college of engineering in the third phase of counseling through the convener quota. I belong to the OBC category so I got full fee reimbursement. You can also join through jee mains with a minimum of 87%.
Placement Experience:
Placements are high in our college. So many companies are visiting and recruiting so many students with an average package of 6 lakh per annum. You can get a job easily with some hard work and need to maintain at least 75 percent overall semesters. In the year 2022, the highest package is 80 lakh per annum for the IT department and the least package is 3.6 lakh per annum. The companies visited are dell, Wipro, Google, Amazon, Hyundai, Providence etc.
Remarks:
You need to write an entrance exam i.e 'TS EAMCET'. You need to excel top in that exam so that you can get an opportunity to study at this college. This exam has no cut-off marks. This college will accept any reservation candidates. If anyone is willing to join but they don't excel in the exam, there is another chance by spot booking seats which are available after the concealing seats are filled. The previous year's cut-off rank for this college is around 4000 for mechanical engineering. You need to apply to this college in EAMCET counselling in 1st and 2nd rounds.
