What students say about St. Xavier's College - [SXC]

Likes

  • Classes are the best furnished and students are well dressed well maintained.
  • The faculty is soo hardworking , they provide there best for us
  • Teacher are best and very supportive And this College Campus is best
  • Campus life is good and very happy to study in the college
  • Students get a very safe and perfect environment to study..and they pass by flying colours every year.
  • There organise a variety of event and provide great exposure for students.
  • The library of the college is very nice place to study in pleace.

Dislike

  • As we specialize in banking and insurance, no companies from the banking or insurance sector came to offer internships to the students.
  • As it is a graduation college, students do not get placed directly from here. However, when it comes to stipends, the needy students receive them. By needy, I mean students who belong to the SC/ST category and are financially disadvantaged, unlike B.
  • The fees for vocational courses are very expensive compared to other courses, and every semester they charge 700rs in the name of exam fees. Its totally unfair to charge such high college fees when they already charge for exam fees.
  • Hostels here are all private hostels because the college hasnt provided any hostel facilities for girls.
  • The alumni network of the college is not very strong, and it should be regularly regulated and organized.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Because it's my stream and also affordable. Shri. Birendra Kumar Sinha assistant professor H.O.D, Teachers are too friendly with students and also experienced. There are 3 semesters one semester per year.

Remarks:

12th pass out and entrance test included. its official website (https://www.sxcran.org/DiplomaCourses.aspx), Reservation for ST, The college should upgrade its website and change its user interface.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In Ranchi BBA is good in Xavier. 60:40 ratio of Girls and boys . Qualification is good of faculty members but teaching methods are average. There are 2 semesters in one year. And it's quite difficult to pass.

Remarks:

Eligibility Criteria-75% minimum, crack interview. Application form is available in College Website, all details provided in the college website admission process, criteria, fees. Reservation Benefits-SC,ST,OBC fees. Improvement in the college website.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had done my graduation in the same field, so it is obvious. The Faculty: Student ratio is about 60:1. Teachers are the well-qualified majority of them possess a Doctorate in their respective fields. A syllabus is generally completed within time and has a better sense of teaching. There are Semester wise exams. It was not so difficult.

Remarks:

For admission to the master's program, you must possess a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% in the respective subject. You could find admission details on the college website www.sxcran.org. There are reserved seats for ST, SC, and EWS quotas. The admission process should be more transparent. Few subjects have high demands between students and a lot of students are disqualified without any proper validation.

Placement Experience:

From the 4th semester, students are capable of placement from the college. Various companies like Wipro provides job for students in college the average package as per the company is 5 lakh. There 50 percent of students get placement from college. After this degree, I'll pursue an M.com degree.

Remarks:

If any student pursues the B.com course for their graduation then, there will be higher chances of getting a job related to financial institutions and organizations. All the details related to the admission are provided on the official site of the college sxcran.org.in .The college avail low fee for the reserved student or who belongs to the reservation quota. The environment of the college is pretty good but there is a lack of management between studies and curriculum activities, there should be proper management.

Placement Experience:

From semester six students are eligible for campus selection. ONGC, Tata motors, Mircosoft, and various other companies visited with more than 100 offers. The highest package was 9 lac and the average package was 1.8 lac. 40-50% of students get placement from the campus. After getting the degree I will move for post-graduation.

Remarks:

There are many courses that a student can. All Application procedure was done online and an amount of 900 was taken as Application fees. Although it takes 2 weeks for the Application process. Some reservations are there for the students coming from the lower backward classes. For them, cut-off marks are less as compared to other categories. I don't think any improvement should be made in the admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I had a good command of writing. The ratio of girls and boys was 40:60. Every teacher was excellent and most of them were very famous in that region. Their technique of teaching was excellent except for some of them. Exams used to be very tough and strict. It was tough to get marks.

Remarks:

It was through the entrance exam. The toughness was moderate but very few seats were there. I belong to the OBC category so, I got a little benefit. There was not any cutoff at that time, it was just only the list of qualified ones on the website and board.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year to the 5th semester the students become eligible for placement offers, the companies Delloit, British Telecom, Accenture and many others were visited and the offer for junior managers and employees post to the eligible students. The students should not have any active backlogs or must have more than 7 cgpa in each semester's exam.

Remarks:

The admission process in st. Xavier's college Ranchi is based upon the entrance test in which the cut-off is 60% for the ST/SC and 70% for OBC AND 75% for the General category and it further added the eligibility criteria for opting for courses such as if I have opted to B.com then I must have to secure 60% in Accountancy and overall %age should be 55%. In this college more than 50% of seats are reserved for the ST/SC category which should be lessened and the admission should be done on only the capability and ability of students' eligibility.
