Many journals are published every year from each department; its one of Indias best campuses for R&D.
Anyways, we have a great placement cell and great teachers who help with the much-needed placement.
The students will be eligible for campus placements in the seventh semester, and many companies will start coming to recruit students with excellent packages.
The college alumni are offering a scholarship for the top students in each branch.
In my college, many workshops are held every month. Interested students attend the workshops. Here, students from all religions study in unity.
The hostels are guarded by security 24/7, and any attempts at ragging are strictly prohibited in the hostels.
The college is the best in Kerala. The tutors are the best, the locality is the best, and the students are the best. The college can be improved in certain infrastructural factors.

Dislike

I have seen the condition and am sad to say, it is maintained very poorly.
Cons: 1. Labs have fewer facilities. 2. No hostel facility.

Placement Experience:

A student becomes eligible to attend campus placements from their 7th semester. Some of the companies which visit SOE are Larsen and Toubro, Cisco, Tata Elxsi, Prevelant AI, Experion, Hashedln, and Qualities. The packages start from Rs 4L p.a. to Rs 32L p.a. The 2018-2022 batch of the Information Technology department recorded a 100% placement record. My plans after getting a degree is to pursue a career in Web3 and maybe try to crack the UPSC exam.

Remarks:

The students have to give the CAT (Common Aptitude Test) as the entrance exam. On clearing the cutoff, the students are then given a rank and asked to give in their preference order for the departments they want. The rank obtained by the candidate and also the marks obtained by them in their 12th std boards act as a factor in getting the department of your choice. There are four quotas through which a student can join the dept - state merit, all-India merit, NRI, and reservation. Fees a candidate has to pay per semester depending on the quota they have joined through. A student gets three chances to get into their dream department.

Excellent Campus for Education and Life

Placement Experience:

The students will be eligible for campus placements in the seventh semester and a lot of companies will start to come to recruit students with excellent packages. About 50-90 companies will come with a package ranging from 3-10 LPA. The highest package given is 11 LPA and the lowest is 3lpa. Almost 90% of the students will be placed after the course. My plan is to get placed in a well-reputed company.

Remarks:

For getting admission to Cochin University of Science and Technology we need to clear an exam known as Common Admission Test(CAT). And based on the ranks we achieved, we will get admission to a variety of courses in the university. There are also reservation benefits given in the admission process. All the application processes for the test are done online. No need for any improvement in the admission process.

CUSAT is a heaven

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from semester 7 and a lot of companies visit here. It has a naac accreditation of A+. Big giants like Cisco and Hexaware visited here. The highest package is offered by Cisco of 20 Lpa.100%placements are bagged by students who were eligible.

Remarks:

First, one needs to clear the CAT exam conducted by CUSAT to stand a chance to get admission here. I got a rank of 3012 and got admission to Information technology here. They will inform us about the admission procedures through the website or mobile. The application form for the exam is completely online. The admission procedures were very easy, one should carry all the necessary documents mentioned.
