The admission process is different for the different courses that are available at SMVEC. The steps to be followed for each course is mentioned below:

For B.Tech

  • The aspirant first needs to register for the CENTAC online
  • After registration, a merit list (on the basis of 10+2 marks) will be prepared by CENTAC and ranks will be allotted accordingly
  • Candidates will be offered admission on the basis of the rank obtained in the CENTAC merit list
  • For aspirants who wish to get admission under Management Quota, the Common Entrance Test for Pondicherry Private Engineering Colleges (CETPPEC) is compulsory.

For M.Tech

  • Aspirants have to appear for the GATE entrance exam
  • CENTAC PG prepares a merit list based on the marks obtained in the GATE entrance exam

  • For the Non-GATE candidates, seats are allotted on the basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying degree
