Shivani College of Engineering & Technology BE Admission 2023

Shivani College of Engineering & Technology offers BE degree course in five disciplines. For admission to BE course, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) is conducted by Anna University. Candidates who have passed HSC with 50% marks (45% for OBC and 40% for SC/ST) in PCM subjects are eligible to apply.

The college also offers BE Lateral entry admission, for which candidate must pass Diploma in Engineering with minimum 50% marks. Admission to BE Lateral is done on the basis of TN LEA 2019 followed by counselling conducted by the university.

The admission to BE program will be done through the merit list, prepared based on the qualifying examination.

Key Points:

  • Only those candidates who have done HSC from Tamil Nadu or are native of TN are eligible to apply in TNEA.
  • 5% relaxation in qualifying exam is given to backward class candidates and 10% relaxation is given to Most Backward Category (MBC) candidates.
  • Candidates belonging to SC/ ST category must only pass the HSC exam.
  • Wards of central Government employees not domiciled in this state may also apply provided their parents or guardians have been serving continuously in this state.

Shivani College of Engineering & Technology offers Masters of Engineering course in three disciplines. Applicants for ME degree course must have passed BE/ B.Tech in the relevant field with at least 50% marks.

Admission to ME is provided on the basis of the performance of the candidates in GATE entrance exam or TANCET entrance examination which is conducted by Anna University.

Aspiring candidates for admission to undergraduate engineering degree course have to follow following steps for registration.

  • Candidates have to apply for TNEA from official website of the university.
  • Fill the form and pay the application fees online.
  • Application fees for general category is INR 500 and for SC/ST category is INR 250.

  • First Graduate Certificate and First Graduate Joint Declaration. (If applicable).

For ME (TANCET):

Candidates who want to apply for ME program has to appear for TANCET through official website of the university.

  • Candidates have to first register themselves and then fill the form using Login id and password obtained during registration.
  • Submit the form and save it for future reference.

  • Only native candidates of Tamil Nadu will be considered for communal reservation.
