AILET 2023 Syllabus (Updated): Check BA LLB and LLM Syllabus, Weightage and Important Topics

AILET 2023 Syllabus: NLU Delhi has released AILET Syllabus for BA LLB and LLM Program on its official website- nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. As per recent changes, AILET Question Paper for BA LLB now includes three sections- English Language, Logical Reasoning, and Current Affairs/ General Knowledge. AILET 2023 Syllabus for LLM program had been modified and includes 2 sections- Section A will consist of objective-type questions from English Language and Legal Reasoning, while Section- B comprises of DescriptIve Questions. Check AILET 2023 Exam Pattern

AILET Syllabus includes topics like  Law of Contracts, Law of Torts, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, and Legal Theory for the LLM Program. In AILET LLM 2023 Exam, only such candidate’s Section B marks is going to be considered who have been shortlisted based on Section- A scores.

AILET Syllabus for PhD program consists of Research Methodology and Legal Research Aptitude. Aspirants who will appear in AILET 2023 on December 11, 2022 must familiarize themselves with the lastet syllabus and pattern.A thorough analysis of previous AILET papers will help students understand the paper strcuture and diffciluty level of questions.

What are the changes in AILET 2023 BA LLB Syllabus?

  • While AILET BA LLB Syllabus earlier comprise of five sections- NLU Delhi has scarpped Elemenatry Mathematics and Legal Aptitude Section. Candidates are required to attempt questions from only three sections- English Language, Current Affairs/ General Knowledge and Logical Reasoning.
  • The total number of questions that will be asked in AILET BA LLB Paper is the same- 150. However there has been increase in weightage of Logical Reasoning section, covering almost 50% of the paper.
  • Questions related to Legal Aptitude may be asked in Logical Reasoning section. However such questions will not required prior knowledge of law. 
  • In case of two candidates scoring the same marks, to break the tie- first candidates marks in Logical Reasoning will be considered.

English Comprehension On the basis of the passage provided, various questions will be asked. It is advisable to first go through the questions first and then read the passage. Doing this will help them to point out the answers and gather information relating to the questions.

The candidate appearing for the AILET 2023 Exam needs to have a clear knowledge of Grammar, Tense, Sentence Construction, and Reading and Writing skills which will be highly effective when attempting Comprehension.

Ques. Has NLU Delhi modified AILET 2023 Syllabus?

Ans. AILET 2023 Syllabus will be released by NLU soon. AILET Syllabus had been updated in 2022. As per the latest syllabus, AILET BA LLB Question Paper will now comprise of three sections- English Language, Logical Reasoning and Current Affairs/General Knowledge. AILET LLM Paper will consist of 100 MCQs from English Language and Logical Reasoning and 2 descriptive questions from important topics of law

Ans. AILET 2023 will be held in the offline or Pen-Paper mode on December 11, 2022. Candidates must attend the exam in their allotted exam centre. 

Ques. What is the pattern of questions for AILET 2023?

Ans. AILET follows a designated pattern for question as given below: 

  • English and Comprehension will consist of 50 marks 
  • Logical Reasoning will consist of 70 marks 
  • General Knowledge will consist of 30 marks.

Logical Reasoning Section of the paper will cover almost 50 % of the question paper.

Ques. What difficulty is LLM program AILET 2023 in?

Ans. AILET for LLM programs has undergraduate level difficulty. The candidates are mostly asked questions that details their knowledge of undergraduate level law courses.

Ques. Is CLAT tougher than AILET?

Ans. With more seats available in CLAT, AILET can be considered to be the otugher exam. The exam pattern for both are similar, however, according to exam paper analysis, AILET had more difficult questions compared to CLAT.
