Benefits of Solving WBJEE Previous Year Question Papers

Previous year WBJEE question papers can be very beneficial for students. Inclusion of these practice papers can fetch them up to 85% – 90% marks in the exam. Let us see how these papers benefit students.

  • Analyzing changes in trends of question: Solving at least the past 5 years WBJEE question papers allows students to understand how the question pattern has evolved over the years. They can anticipate the kind of questions that might be asked and strategize accordingly for the ultimate exam.
  • Question weightage: Understanding which chapters are given more weightage is the key to formulate a good study plan. On solving the previous year's papers candidates can analyze which chapters are more important and more likely to be asked. This will effectively give candidates an idea of which chapters they should prepare strongly to score better.
  • Conceptual understanding: We’ve heard the famous saying, practice makes a man perfect. Practicing previous year's WBJEE questions helps in clearing all conceptual doubts one has. This will also help in increasing your speed and maintain accuracy, which is crucial in an exam like WBJEE.
  • Mock tests: The previous year's papers are a good alternative for mock tests. One can set a timer of 2 hours and solve them like a real exam. This will help in time management and let you analyze your strategies or come up with new and developed ones.
  • Difficulty level: Students will have a better understanding of the difficulty level of the questions. They will realize which section is likely to be tougher than the others. One will learn which topics they must work hard on.

  • Category 2: 2 marks questions with one correct option
  • Category 3: 2 marks questions with one or more correct options

WBJEE question paper is bilingual and is available in English and Bengali. Paper I is for Mathematics while Paper II is for Physics and Chemistry. A common review received from candidates who have appeared for WBJEE in the past couple of years is that the Mathematics paper is mostly very lengthy, but the difficulty level varies every year.
