Being a Faculty of the Computer Science Department, what are your responsibilities towards students?

As an Assistant professor of the CSE Department, I am responsible for providing the best knowledge and facilities to students in the college. And nurturing them and enhancing their skills by providing a challenging yet amazing learning ambiance is also my responsibility.

How do you establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty?

I regularly interact with my dear students and fellow faculties to ensure a cordial relationship with them. And while I talk to them, I listen to all their queries and issues very attentively so that I can resolve them on time and make them feel valued and happy at the same time. Along with this, I ensure students' participation in all college and departmental activities. And with the faculty, I always ensure my support and guidance is available for them whenever they need me.

How do you bring in a practical and industry-driven approach towards subjects?

"I use my professional skills in the best possible way while delivering lectures"

Being a professor, I demonstrate my professional skills and past experiences while teaching programming languages to students and making them competent and capable. Also, hands-on experiments are conducted by us to make students understand concepts in a better way and develop skills like creative and innovative learning in them.

Which best practices are offered by your department to the students to help them gain necessary skills?

We have signed MOUs with a wide variety of reputed MNCs and organizations in order to impart finest quality and employment oriented education and industrial exposure to our students. This, I think is the uniqueness of each program that we offer to students and also the best practice by us to improve their skills.

What are your views upon the placements of students from your department?

Our department was established in 2020 and students are now in their second year of Engineering. And we are doing great as far as placement stats of our college is concerned as our dedicated Training and Placement Cell train students for the corporate world by conducting customized personality development training programs, mock interviews and other sessions. And our students currently are working with reputed MNCs and PSUs. 

How do you prepare your students to cope up with the outside competitive world?

Our students are trained rigorously in the domain of Cyber Security and coaching along with various guest sessions organized by our college to help students prepare for the competitive entrance exams like UPSC, TNPSC and Bank exams.

Which extracurricular activities are organized in your college to enhance the skills of students?

We understand that extra-curricular activities are very important for students' overall growth and development as only academics can't cover everything. Hence we organize a wide variety of events like sports events, paper presentations, conferences and cultural activities on a regular basis to give a platform to students so that they can showcase their skills and learn something new in the whole process.

How does your college enhance the faculty skills and prepare as per industry standards?

Our college as well as department, both are very much supportive when it comes to the growth and learning of faculty members. Also, faculties are regularly encouraged to enroll themselves in training programs organized by college and make best use of resources provided go them during these training. In addition to this, senior faculty members oftenly guide their juniors about the modernized teaching-learning practices and how to present and publish research papers in reputed journals.
