English Writing Competition at Jindal School of Languages & Literature

O.P. Jindal Global University, Jindal School of Languages & Literature is organizing an English Creative Writing Competition to give students a chance to show their creativity. The event will be held on December 2, 2021. The students will have to compose a poem or a short story based on the paintings of the major artists. The paintings would be shared with the students after they submit their registration forms. The poem must not exceed 30 lines. The word range for the short story is between 500 to 750 words. The students are required to abide by the following rules:

  • Each student can submit only one entry.
  • All entries must have a title.
  • All entries must be written in English.
  • Plagiarised content will be disqualified.
  • Entries will be judged based on creativity, originality, syntax, and the style of writing.

How to Apply? Participants are directed to fill the provided google form. Further, students will receive a link through the provided email to the portal where they can submit their work after completion of the registration. The Hispanosphere Video Competition at Jindal School of Languages & Literature

O.P. Jindal Global University, Jindal School of Languages & Literature is organizing The Hispanosphere Video Competition. The event will be held on a Virtual Platform on November 27, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Students interested in Spain and the Hispanic world would get a chance to show their creativity. The competition is open for students from classes 9-12. The students will get an opportunity to send a short video of 3-5 minutes in MP4 format on any of the following themes: 

  1. A brief description of Spain or any other country from Latin America: You could cover different aspects such as culture, geographical location, significant historical events, or famous personalities from the country chosen.
  2. Cinema and web series: You could talk about your favorite films and web series in Spanish. Go for the heist!
  3. Music: Tell us about your favorite Hispanic artists and your favourite songs in Spanish.
  4. Food: Do you like Nachos? Have you tried Paella? Share your experiences with Hispanic cuisine and let us know about your lip-smacking favourites!
  5. Football: Are you madridista o cule? If you are a football fan, this is your chance to speak about your favourite footballers from Spain, Argentina, Uruguay or any other country from Latin America.

How to Apply? Pre-registration for the competition is mandatory. Participants are directed to fill the provided google form. Further, students will receive a link through the provided email to the portal where they can submit their videos after completion of the registration. JILDEE launches certificate program at Ranchi

Jindal Institute of Leadership Development and Executive Education (JILDEE) recently organized a 5-day residential certificate program on “HR Audit and Analytics with Special Focus on Competency Mapping” for the HR officers of Coal India Limited at Ranchi. The program is in collaboration with the Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences (JIBS). 

The program was inaugurated by Mr. Amit Mohapatra, Joint Director – JILDEE. The 5-day certificate course was designed with the objective of providing a deeper understanding of the managerial concept and techniques of HR audit and analytics for formulating and implementing strategies in the human resource department for the organization. 

The program was attended by a total of 22 officers from IICM. The valedictory function for the 5-day program was graced by Dr. Subash Chandra Mishra- Executive head- IICM, Lt Gen Rajesh Kochhar Senior Director JILDEE and Amit Mohapatra- Joint Director JILDEE.


JILDEE introduces certificate program for THDC officers

Jindal Institute of Leadership Development & Executive Education (JILDEE) recently organized a 2-day residential certificate program on “Drafting of Contracts Management with Emphasis upon High-Value Contracts & Negotiation Skills” for the officers of THDC LTD at Rishikesh. The program was inaugurated by Mr. SK Sharma, Dy General Manager – HRD, THDC & Mr. Sandeep Singhal, General Manager – Corporate Contract, THDC. 

The participants were briefed by Mr. Sidharth, Manager – JILDEE on the overview of the University & JILDEE accomplishment. The course was designed with the objective of providing a deeper understanding of Contract Management, Indian Contract Law, Drafting a Contract, GFR 2017, Procurement of Goods & Services, Bidding & Incoterms. At the event, the lecture was delivered by Advocate Sandeep Arya, an eminent lawyer of Delhi High Court and Mr. BK Mitra, Ex CVO of Allahabad Bank & Oriental Bank of Commerce. A total of 28 THDC officers participated in the program. 


JILDEE hosts a residential program for the officers of the Government of Haryana

Jindal Institute of Leadership Development & Executive Education organized a 4-day residential certificate program on “Team Building, Communication Skills, Leadership & Motivation” for the civil service officers of the Government of Haryana. The program was in collaboration with the Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences. 

Dr. Sanjeev P Sahni, Principal Director – JIBS, Professor & Member, Governing Body, Advisor to the Vice-Chancellor was the academic director of this program. The program was inaugurated by Lt Col Rajat Mathur with a brief introduction to JGU & JILDEE.

The officers received training on Effective Communication, Motivation at the workplace, Leadership Style & Strategy, Maximizing Human Potential through Behavioural Competencies, Emotional Intelligence, etc. A total batch of 14 Haryana Civil Service officers participated in the program. 


JILDEE organizes training program for the officers of the Government of West Bengal

Jindal Institute of Leadership Development & Executive Education recently organized a 2-week residential certificate program on “Public Policy & Governance”. The course is designed for 21 civil service officers of the Government of West Bengal. The Institute collaborated with the Jindal School of Government and Public Policy & Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy of the National University of Singapore. 

The event was inaugurated by Lt Gen Dr. Rajesh Kochhar, Senior Director, JILDEE. The sessions started with opening remarks by Lt Col Rajat Mathur, Joint Director of JILDEE where he discusses briefly on OP Jindal Global University & JILDEE followed by course structure for a full 5 days. 

The first session hosted by Dr. Kochhar on strategic leadership where he emphasized the importance of good leadership which enhances the productivity of the organization. After the completion, of course, the valedictory note addressed by Dr. Nehginpao Kipgen, Associate Professor, Assistant Dean & Executive Director of Centre for Southeast Asian Studies. Dr. Rajesh Kochhar accompanied the participants for the foreign leg in Lee Kuan Yew School, Singapore as the program director.
