Centre for Design Excellence (CODE), a constituent body of Vivekananda Global University (VGU) Jaipur, is conducting “en-CODE- DESIGNER’S CIPHER” on January 12, 2019, from 1 pm to 8 pm at Garden theatre, Smriti van, JLN Marg, Jaipur.

En-CODE is a pathway for young aspirants into the design academia, providing an interactive platform for upcoming young designers and architects to enhance their talent as well as experience varied aspects of the design profession as a whole through hands-on workshops, demonstrations, brainstorming competitions, exhibitions, and live performances much more.

Field experts having international exposure including Pramila Chodhary from NID for Meter clothing workshop and Sanjeev Kumar from IIGS for Metalcraft workshop will conduct all the workshops and demonstrations.  Other than these workshops like kite making, Reed craft, clay sculpture, linocut printing, soap carving, jewelry design is tailor-made to engage young designer minds.

Workshops like REED craft, kite making, and linocut are included to bring back the retro craft techniques which are getting extinct due to Modernization. There are open competitions like installation, canvas painting, interior design, and fashion design. To add a twist to these there are on spot competitions like Ad mads, Mosaic design, secret code groupies, Stitch la.

The cherries on the top to this there are cultural programs arranged in the evening including group dance competition along with dance drama based on design education awareness. The reward for work well done is the opportunity to do more. Competitions at En-CODE will be bestowed with cash prizes worth 1 lac along with surprise gifts. CODE expects a huge gathering of students, dignitaries, professionals and industry experts across the country from elite institutes.
