I have completed the NTTF diploma course. How can I join engineering?
NTTF diploma program is recognized by the Department of Technical Education, Govt. of Kerala. As per the Govt. rules, you will be eligible for a lateral entry admission to the second year of B.Tech courses. There are various colleges that accept NTTF diplomas. The official website of NTTF has a list of such institutes.
Does IIM Ahmedabad still have the policy to call all 100 percentilers in CAT for an interview? What are the other necessary conditions?
In 2021, the required cutoff for IIM Ahmedabad was 99-100. But just scoring 100 percentile in CAT, won’t get you an interview call. You must satisfy the eligibility criteria in terms of 10th, 12th, Graduation marks, and CAT percentile. The shortlist for an interview is made by considering past academic performance and CAT percentile. So, if your past academic record is poor, you may not get a call for an interview, even with a 100 percentile.
After the completion of NICMAR studies, how can I get a job in Canada or the USA?
It will be difficult to get a job in Canada or in the US after completing a degree from NICMAR. NICMAR degrees aren’t recognized by WES of Canada and it isn’t listed in most universities there. However, construction companies from Gulf countries and some African countries visit the campus placement.
Can an engineering graduate do an IIM Rohtak sports management course?
Yes, engineering graduates can apply for the IIM Rohtak sports management course. The prerequisite of this 2-year executive postgraduate diploma is graduation in any discipline. This course is a great fit for sports enthusiasts. The interdisciplinary course curriculum ensures skill development in different aspects of sports management such as sports marketing and merchandising, sports events, sports law, special events.

How can a graduated aspirant with a year drop improvise her resume for IIM Ahmedabad?
Every student with a gap year in their resume should be prepared for the question - ‘Why did you take a gap year?’, during your interview. The interview panelists are genuinely interested to know how you made the most of your break. You should be honest while replying to this question. You can simply answer that you needed more time for preparation.
During your break year, you can do volunteer work during weekends or learn something new. If you opted out of campus placements, you can do research projects or internships with your professor. You can do some certification or take examinations, in your field of interest, such as CFA/FRM. These will help showcase that you have spent your time productively.
What is your review of IMT Ghaziabad?
One of my friends pursued PGDM Marketing from IMT Ghaziabad. Here is her review.
- IMT Ghaziabad is known for its Marketing specialization. You will have great opportunities to explore your interests in different domains of Marketing. The faculty base is highly experienced. The course curriculum includes a wide range of case studies, projects, and various events.
- The administration has taken a lot of initiative to regain past glory. One such initiative was reducing the batch intake to 450 for the 2021 academic year.
- IMT has also recently started the PGDM BFS program in collaboration with Vlerick Business School, Belgium. The program is delivered by Vlerick faculties along with IMT faculties. This program offers international exposure in different domains of Finance.
- The placement statistics of IMT had an upward slope in recent years. An average CTC of 12.4 LPA was offered during the 2021 placement drive.
- The campus has a student-driven culture. There are various clubs and committees that you can take part in.
If you work hard, you will have good opportunities and exposure at IMT Ghaziabad.
What percentile do I need to get into IIM Lucknow?

However, according to the cutoff trends, the minimum expected cutoff for IIM Lucknow is 90 and the maximum expected cutoff is 99. Some points to keep in mind are
- Your maximum focus should be on your CAT score. Try to score 99+
- Past academics are also taken into consideration in IIM Bangalore admission
- Work Experience carries 10% weightage
- A decent to good profile can be get admitted by scoring 99.3+
- An average profile's required percentile is unpredictable but should aim as high as they can.
Being a non-engineer female can increase your chances while vice versa can decrease your chances.

The interview goes for around 15 to 20 minutes and there are generally 2 interviewers to take your interview. Firstly, they ask you about yourself and try to know about your visions, perceptions, experience, and so on. They mainly ask you general questions related to your academics as well as your surrounding to analyze your presence of mind and knowledge regarding any specific subject.
They are interested to know about your capabilities, strengths, weaknesses, and where your opinions stand. Students are asked about the most recent hotly debated topics or issues to understand their grip over current affairs.
IIMs seek out positive people who are eager to learn and have a basic understanding of any situation. It is not necessary to be a master of everything, superb academics and extracurriculars in order to succeed, though grades are important. You simply need to demonstrate your ability to think to the interviewer.

Your brother has a fairly good chance of section as his CAT percentage is well-above the required cutoff. For 2021, IIM Kozhikode cutoff was 85 (for general category students). But the selection depends a lot on the interview performance too. So, ask your brother to prepare thoroughly for the interview round.

What is the difference between IIFT Delhi and IIFT Kolkata in terms of quality of education, study environment, and placements?
Here are a few factors that differentiate IIFT Delhi and IIFT Kolkata campuses.
- Location is certainly a differentiating factor between the Delhi campus and the Kolkata campus. Students of Delhi campus get more exposure due to the proximity to the mainstem industry and to Gurgaon’s Cybercity. But the student body of IIFT Kolkata goes the extra mile to make sure this is changing.
- Although the faculty of the Delhi campus is more diverse, the environment on Kolkata campus is more conducive for research.
- The Delhi campus has the WTO center, while there is a Center for North Eastern Studies (CeNEST) on the Kolkata campus.
- Although it’s not often talked about, there is a differentiation between placements at both campuses. However, IIFT Kolkata is catching up quickly in terms of placement numbers.
As established earlier, the Delhi campus has its advantages, but IIFT Kolkata is striving hard to bridge the gap.
