How is Acharya Institute of Technology? What is the campus crowd, sports facilities, and teaching faculty like?

TG
Taiti Ghosh Posted On : February 2nd, 2021
Studied at Acharya Institute of Technology (2019)

Acharya Institute of Technology is an average college. The student population on campus is fantastic and robust. The students are the university's lifeline. It's them who will make Acharya livable. Without the crowd, it would have been a dull place. It conducts an international festival, which is once again organized by the students.

The table given below shows a brief overview of the institute:

Categories

Acharya Institute of Technology

Course Fee

2.35 - 2.61 lakh

Placement Percentage

Highest CTC

21 LPA

Average CTC

3 LPA

Infrastructure:

  • Acharya Institute is renowned for its green environment and infrastructure and this is what makes it fresh for students.
  • The rooms of the hostel are good but a bit more expensive. It would be advised to stay in PGs located outside the campus.
  • Infrastructure is good, be it sports, classrooms, and dedicated laboratories. But for a college at this level, the library is too small with a lesser collection of books and reading materials.

Faculty: Teachers here are very helpful and willing to assist you in your academic and personal problems.

The overall institute is not bad, but the exams are entirely based and studied for the semester assessments and internals. It is far less helpful if you intend to import anything for your profession. Exposure is even smaller and the faculty has more practical expertise than Theoretical Knowledge.

Hope the details discussed above would help the students to acknowledge the college.

How does a typical day in IIM A pass by?

KS
Kalapi Singhal Posted On : February 22nd, 2022
studied Master of Business Administration Degrees at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad

Here’s a brief look into a typical day at IIM Ahmedabad.

  • Lectures start from 8:45 sharp. The lecture timing at IIM Ahmedabad has a zero error policy. It means you can’t attend the class even if you are one second late. It’s best if you wake up around 7. That way you will have time to get ready for class in time. Although there are students who wake up at 8, grab something to eat if possible, and reach class down to the wire.
  • There will be classes and breaks in a loop until the lunch break. Even if you are sleepy you will have to be active in class for the class participation marks.
  • The lunch break is at 1 pm. During lunch, you will see students checking their emails or quiz board for notices regarding an upcoming quiz. If you have a quiz at 2:45 pm, you will get the notice around 1:45 pm. Students who don’t have to prep for a quiz, either study or take a nap.
  • After 5 pm, the campus starts buzzing with various group activities. Many also start working on their group assignments.
  • Students start to get dinner from around 8 pm.
  • After dinner, most students either do their group assignments or study.

Naturally, the schedule varies depending on the individuals. But the activities are more or less same.

B.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar (2020)

The campus of IIT Bhubaneswar is quite impressive. The campus is set-up in a lush green area at the foothill of Barunei far away from the main city. The climate is moderate and provides a conducive environment for students. The campus is well divided into separate Academic and Residential(Hostel) sections. The campus is sprung across a vast area and is probably among the largest IIT campuses. Hostel facilities are very good and provide separate rooms for each student. Furthermore, the food provided in the mess is hygienic and is also of adequate quality. Apart from academics, the institute also provides students with ample opportunities in recreation through sports, almost all sports facilities are available for students. The institute also conducts many annual fests throughout the whole year. These provide students with opportunities to showcase their talents across various fields. The departmental labs have been updated with the latest testing equipment. Besides, the institute also has an impressive placement record and is visited by eminent PSUs like IOCL, BHEL, BPCL including others. The college dean is strict about the rules and requires all students to adhere to the proper rules of conduct. The faculty shortage, which was in talks for quite some time, has also been addressed. Taking note of all the points it is clearly evident that the campus of IIT Bhuvaneswar is quite good and provides a conducive environment for studies as well as recreation.

What is the IIT Bhubaneswar campus like?

DM
Divay Mondal Posted On : August 13th, 2020
B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar (2022)

The campus at IIT Bhubaneswar is spread over 936 acres of land in Arugul which is about 30 km from the main city of Bhubaneswar, The permanent campus was functional from 2015. The campus has a world of its own and is situated under the foothills of Barunei Hills. The environment inside the campus is ideal for studies and socio-cultural activities as it is away from the hustle bustle of city life. There is segregation between the academic area and the residential area inside the campus.

The one aspect that makes the education in IIT Bhubaneswar stand out is the concept of schools instead of departments; each school has a building devoted to itself in the academic area, for eg. There is the school of electrical sciences, the school of basic sciences, the school of infrastructure and the school mechanical sciences. Apart from all the schools, a lab complex exists which houses all the basic lab facilities and classes for all the common courses.

Moreover, the school of infrastructure and mechanical sciences have two workshops dedicated to them. On the residential front there are two hostels inside the campus namely MHR 'Mahanadi Hall of Residence' (for male students) and SHR(Subarnarekha Hall of Residence) (for female students), there are a couple of more hostels which are being constructed and are about to be completed. The sports facilties provided by the campus include a gym, a basketball court, and a racing track (400m), a playground and basic facilties for all the sports. Then there is the community centre which is constantly being used by the socio cultural and the technical societies.

Along with the faculty quarters for the faculty to live in, there are the guest houses for the guest faculties and delegates to live in along with the visiting parents and there is a 24*7 dispensary which is available too in case of a medical emergency.

All in all the campus provides a great environment for the students to learn, moreover, the winds from the Barunei hills help them relax.

Since you are studying in the CUSAT, what are the best experiences you have in the CUSAT?

SK
Satish Kumar Posted On : February 12th, 2021
Studied at Cochin University of Science and Technology

My brother studied there and he shared his experiences in Kuttanad Campus (2nd campus) Firstly, he used to buy drinking water. He was in his second year and the monsoon was at its peak. All the roadways to the island (Pulincunno) were blocked hence there was no water supply at all. Secondly, The strong coffee they provided is much better than the tea. And Lastly, the local KSRTC buses won’t wait even for a second if they’re late. He and his two other friends loved to take a ride to Changanassery, via the village route.

It was indeed a scenic route. They liked the route so much that if they were nearby a bus stand and coincidently a bus drove past, they used to run and catch it. They did this more than a dozen times, that too in their first year.

How is Campus life at IGIT sarang? And what is the best branch (in terms of teaching standards)?

DR
Davesh Rath Posted On : March 5th, 2021
Studied at Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology, Sarang

The most captivating thing about IGIT Sarang is that it is far away from the chaos of the town. The institute is located in the natural environment surrounded by the Brahmani river, Sarang jungle, Khandanala, and Dadara Ghati. The place is serene, away from pollution. The other likable things about IGIT, Sarang are discussed below.

  • There are no differences between the rich and poor. The place is isolated, so there are barely any shopping malls, online deliveries from E-Commerce, restaurants, or luxury stores. This results in easy mingling with the other students.
  • The food quality of IGIT is excellent. It is better than Akash or Surya.
  • You will definitely have a laugh while roaming around the campus at midnight in search of a WiFi signal.

IGIT has a huge campus spread within a radius of 5 km. With time and familiarity, you will start liking the campus.

What is IIT Bombay B.des life, study and job senario? [UCEED]

SJ
Shivansh Jog Posted On : March 18th, 2023
Studied B.Des at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay

If you are interested in design, IIT Bombay offers a four-year Bachelor of Design (BDes) program. Admission to this program is based on the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) score. If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can fill out the online application form.

One of the great things about the BDes program at IIT Bombay is that scholarships are available to students. This can help make the program more accessible and affordable.

When it comes to placements, the BDes batch of IIT Bombay has an impressive track record. In the most recent placements, 85.75% of BDes students received job offers. The median salary offered was INR 35 LPA, while the average was INR 17.9 LPA. This shows that there are plenty of exciting opportunities available to BDes graduates from IIT Bombay.

In addition to job placements, many BDes students at IIT Bombay also choose to do internships during their second year. This can provide valuable real-world experience and help students build their professional networks.

It's also worth noting that IIT Bombay has a company that is open to all students, including BDes students. However, there is a minimum criteria that students must meet in order to attend interviews. This varies depending on the company, but many require students to have a minimum CPI (Cumulative Performance Index) of 8 CGPA.

Overall, if you are interested in design and are looking for a top-tier program with great job opportunities, the BDes program at IIT Bombay is definitely worth considering.
