Yes it is possible. There are a lot of mediocre students who evolve with time and end up cracking IIT or AIIMS.
Since MD radiology at AIIMS, New Delhi is your target, you will require a rank in top 3-5 to secure a place in MD radiology. It might be the toughest exam but it is not impossible. Try dedicating more time preparing for this, which might give you positive results.
The following is a list of documents/certificates that must be deposited in original or photocopy, along with a Demand Draft, in order to be admitted to AIIMS:
AIIMS issues an Offer Letter, Registration Slip, and Admit Card.
Self-attested copy of certificate proving completion of the 12th grade under the 10+2 Senior School Certificate.
A self-attested copy of his/her birth certificate from the Board.
Copy of the qualifying examination mark sheet, i.e. 12th class, self-attested.
If applicable, the Candidate should also bring the following certificates:
The SC/ST certificate must be issued by a competent authority and must be in English or Hindi.
OBC Certificate issued by the competent authority for central government jobs/admission to a central government college/institute.
The certificate must be in the format specified by the Central Government in the prospectus.
As stated in the prospectus, a Disability Certificate will be issued by a duly formed and authorized Medical Board.
Candidates should be aware that a certificate from any other person or authority will not be accepted, and no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard. The officer's name, designation, and seal should be legible on the certificate.
AIIMS Rishikesh, Raipur or Patna all are well reputed institutes and should not be underestimated. They are institutes of national importance and autonomous institutes of central government.
The infrastructure of AIIMS Raipur is better than most state medical colleges of India. The only disadvantage is that you won't be able to get a 50% state quota in NEET PG.
The core points of these institutes are:
Infrastructure
Faculty
Facilities
Fees
AIIMS title
Small batch size facilitates better teaching
So yes, it’s worth taking admission at AIIMS Raipur or Patna for MBBS.
The infrastructure appears to be adequate for a college that was founded only a few years ago. There are structured OPDs as well as special OPDs. The hypertension and diabetic clinic, pain clinic, and rheumatology clinic are all available. The standard USGS, CTs, MRIs, and echo are all fully operational. Cardiology and Nephrology departments have been established. Renal biopsy procedures are also carried out. To function fully, it will take time, but AIIMS Raipur is a thousand times better than AIIMS Bhubaneshwar.
The AIIMS campus in Bhubaneshwar is filthy. There is no sense of organization or management. The MICU there is crammed with 30 patients, with no standards or protocols in place.
PGIMS Rohtak is better than NDMC Delhi Hindu Rao Hospital. It is one of the most reputed colleges in North India.
There are many great and highly experienced faculties, many of which are best-selling authors of medical textbooks. Being an older institution, it has more exposure and reach.
NDMC, on the other hand, is associated with Hindurao Hospital, which is well known in Delhi but is not much good when the medical faculty and the standard of medical training are concerned.
MCI has canceled the Recognition of NDMC a few times; it resulted in not taking further MBBS batches. Graduating from such a Medical college could be a risk.
There are two way to get admission into CMC Vellore, these include:
Clearing NEET qualifies you for the entrance exam of CMC Vellore. After that, take the CMC Vellore entrance exam. The entrance for CMC is conducted in two stages.
You get admission into CMC only after clearing all the stages of the entrance exams. Keep in mind they have a 50% reservation category for Christian students. There are 10% seats for students of the unreserved category. So, if you belong to the unreserved category, the competition during admission will be noticeably tougher than usual.
Only regular students are eligible to receive a gold medal for achieving the highest marks in a particular subject or for the highest score in an academic year. Repeaters, unfortunately, are not eligible for this recognition.
However, this doesn't mean that repeaters should feel discouraged or disheartened. There are other ways to excel academically and achieve success. By focusing on your studies and consistently putting in the effort, you can still achieve your academic goals and earn good grades.
It's important to remember that success is not just measured by awards or recognition, but also by personal growth and improvement. So, don't give up on your academic pursuits and continue to work hard towards achieving your goals. With dedication and perseverance, anything is possible.
One of my friends studied at PGIMS Rohtak. According to him, the college is also enthusiastic about sports like academics.
The college provides:
A number of sports activities are held like Basketball, volleyball, throwball, women cricket, tennis, badminton, athletics, etc. All departments MBBS, Dental, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Nursing participate. This lasts for 3-5 days.
Both facilities and opportunities are provided to the students in extracurriculars.
It is a well-known fact that each and every college has its good and bad side. The same goes for Jaipur National University. Though it is a good college, let me discuss some pros and cons of the college, which will help you understand it better.
Here are some of the points that will give you an idea about the MBBS course here.
PROS:
CONS:
The teaching process is really good here, as most of the faculty members are highly experienced, with years of educational experience. It is suggested that if you are unable to get admission to any Government colleges, you could then go to Jaipur National University.
Grant Medical College in Mumbai is one of the finest institutions for the medical field.
Grant Medical College proves that studying MBBS is not just about books and getting marks but learning each and every skill as well.
