According to the placement statistics of NIT Raipur, the packages vary drastically from branch to branch.

  • If you belong to CS/IT, there are so many decent companies coming every now and then. And, the average package of 9.5 LPA is getting better every year. Till the end, they always achieve more than 90% placement.
  • If you belong to core branches like Electrical and Mechanical, the average package can range from 4-5 LPA. Last year it was the best to date with 82% placement. While Mining and civil are having decent placements too.
  • For branches like Metallurgy, the placement is season-dependent. Last year it broke every record but this year it is a little down. However, you can see 50-60% placements every year on average.
