Yes, IIM Ahmedabad graduates are among the highest-paid in the world. According to IIM Ahmedabad placements od recent years, students usually receive an average CTC of INR 27.60 LPA. The highest domestic CTC goes up to INR 55 LPA. While the median international package for the institute is USD 1.04 lakhs per annum.

The salary packages received by IIMA students can be compared to top B-School across the world such as Harvard, INSEAD, etc.

Yes, IIM Ahmedabad graduates get highest packages in the world on average. Salary packages offered at IIMA can be compared to Harvard, Booth School, INSEAD, etc. According to the recent placement highlights, the average package offered by IIM A is INR 26 LPA. The HBS graduates earned around $150,000 base salary, according to 2020 placement statistics. If we consider the difference in cost of living between the two places, the salary packages are comparable.

According to some of my friends at IIM A, I can assure you that it is absolutely true. Once the Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) is adjusted, the students end up with some of the highest-paying packages in the world. These are comparable to Harvard, Booth School as well as INSEAD.

You can even consider this example:

Harvard MBA graduates (exalted ones), earn an average of about $130000 as per a few articles.
This is about INR 85 lakhs when converted but, Indian standard income-wise, this would be about INR 18 lakhs.
This is mainly because the standard of living in the US is about 5 times higher as compared to that in India on average.
When you are a fresh IIM Ahmedabad, you can expect to make about INR 20 lakhs per annum on average.
So when you directly compare, you will realize that the standard of living and privileges offered to students from IIM Ahmedabad are comparable to what an average graduate student from Harvard makes with their MBA degree or even UC’s Booth school.

You can make a similar calculation head to head with the highest-paid IIM Ahmedabad graduate as compared to the highest-paid graduate from Harvard who has done an MBA.
