Studied at Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering, Pune (2019)

Bhartiya Vidyapeeth is definitely a good college but it is known for its engineering and law degrees and not really for an MBA. So, if you are looking to study for an MBA in Pune, you should research other colleges.

Some of the better colleges here are MITSOM, Balaji, SIBM, SCMHRD as well as PUMBA.

However, if you are keen on going to Bhartiya Vidyapeeth only, the faculty is not that bad and the infrastructure is good too. You can enjoy different facilities with well-experienced faculty members that will ensure quality education.

Is imed pune is a good b school?

SP
Sridhar Pandey Posted On : April 21st, 2021
Studied BTech from IIIT A (2018)

My cousin brother studies at the IMED Pune institute. It is an above-average place of study and the measurement criteria which is the CAT score is not required there for admission. Hence, only ranking remains as a parameter of quality. IMED Pune has a rank of #63 on the NIRF ranking scale for the year 2020.

Here are some other parameters for a better judgement-

  • Placements- For the year 2017, 2018, and 2019 over 250 students were placed each year on an average package of INR 17-29 LPA. In 2020, 239 students were placed with the highest international package of INR 54 LPA and the highest domestic package of INR 18 LPA. The average salary this year is INR 7.5 LPA.
  • Education- the classes rely mostly on the expertise of guest lecturers which is almost below average. Many students have registered complaints regarding that as well.
  • Infrastructure- The campus is a lush green space with spacious classes and other basic amenities for sports, dining, and studying. The library is good but only contains course-related material and has only a single book issue facility.

The students are bright, hence competition is tough and expecting a complaint to be resolved soon is a bit difficult.

However, this college is good if you do not wish to struggle through the CAT or MAT exams for Admission into the MBA program.

Studied MTech from VIT (2019)

My sister studied at IMED Pune in the 2017 batch and it was a good institute for MBA. She got placed with Amazon in the final year at a package of INR 12 LPA. In 2019, the college saw a 100% placement rate with the highest domestic package of INR 16 LPA and an average package of INR 7 LPA. More than 150 companies participate in the placement process at IMED Pune each year.

  • It has one of the best placement rates for MBA in Pune when compared to other MBA institutions.
  • In 2020, the average package offered was INR 6 LPA, and the highest package given was INR 12 LPA.
  • They offer excellent CRC support as well, which turns out to be very beneficial in preparing students for the corporate world.
  • You'll be taught valuable lessons like financial modeling, and honing your aptitude, and grooming skills especially for the corporate world.

Here's a table also for your consideration-

Average Salary

INR 7 LPA

Highest Salary (International)

INR 54.08 LPA

Highest Salary (domestic)

As you may see, the placement rate has been 100% almost every year and in 2020, 239 students were placed with a .5 increase in the average package offered. The highest domestic package also saw an increase from INR 16.10 LPA to INR 18.10 LPA. However, the participation of companies was the same.
